Can you get 0800 118 FREE to work?
I recommended the free Directory Enquiries service 0800 118 FREE to an offline family friend, only to be told subsequently that it didn't work.
Having tried it on a variety of listed residential and business numbers, I couldn't get it to work on any of them. It asks repeatedly for the name and address, plays music on hold for ages, says that the number can't be found and ends by telling you to use the prohibitively expensive 118 188 service instead. It just seems to be a scam to promote 118 118, wasting the user's time. It's also ripping off the sponsors who pay to advertise on a service that won't be used because it fails to deliver. Can anyone get it to work? |

Just tried it and yep its on like a loop.
The correct number is 0800 118 3733 http://moneytothemasses.com/quick-sa...s-118-for-free You get a 30 second advert then asked business or residental. After giving this, music then asks you again. hmmmm Remember 0800 on some mobiles are charged. Im free with giffgaff, According to site above if you dial from a mobile then call 0333 555 8800 first, 0800buster.co.uk http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ This number would count as any free minute allowance you have, tho with the majority people who have phones, surely they are smart and a free search online would be better ??? |
