He's permanent, which I'm happy about. But the storylines need to sort out.

No idea how long he is around for but I hope he's back for good. I really love him and Shirley as a couple. Hope he and Shirley will stay together for a while.

They do have chemistry and I like the dynamic between both characters. I'm happy that Linda Henry is working a lot with another accomplished actor which is Karl Howman

I don't know how reliable but someone I was chatting to who had met Karl Howman said that he is filming until June at the least, contract discussions ongoing, apparently. Like I say, I don't know how reliable but if they are correct, he will be on screen until Aug at the least.

Personally I hope they extend his contract and he becomes a regular. Buster is a brilliant character so far, I've enjoyed his scenes and I really like the relationship between him and Shirley.

I hope they will extend his contract. Buster is a breath of fresh air to the show and there's so much more they can do with Buster. He and Shirley are so watchable

Me too! I hope they will extend it and that Karl Howman will want to stay on the show.

Buster is brilliant, I love the dynamic between him and Shirley, it is believable and they are so watchable, like you say. I've enjoyed all their scenes so far. Buster and Shirley have much potential as a couple, as well as Buster as a character in his own right.

Linda Henry and Karl Howman have great onscreen chemistry and bounce off one another really well too.

I like Buster but at the minute I'm not sure where he'd go after the Dean storyline is over.

I'd like to see him strike up some sort of relationship with Mick and his grandchildren.

I think they could take him many places, explore his relationship with Mick and his grandchildren, his relationship with Shirley, their backstory, and there is always scope to bring in a sibling or his mum/dad, as guests to develop him more* There is also potential for a rivalry between him and another character, Phil? - I'm sure he'll get involved in some dodgy dealings if he stays!

I would like to see Buster and Shirley more without Dean's actions held over them. They are a great pairing.

(*though no secret wives or families, it's been done!)

Personally I think he is awful. He is acting like he has been Dean's dad his whole life when he only found out 5 months ago. He is a Kevin clone with a touch of Philth thrown in for good measure.

Not keen, which is a shame as his tiny stint last year really impressed me. Could change in time though.

If Buster is full time, he can be involved in a lot of stuff. In order to become his own character in his right, he needs some friends and enemies. I want a big feud between Phil and Buster. It could be anything to do with their crimes. It also means more scenes between Phil and Shirley. I'm glad the writers are exploring the friendship between Phil and Shirley. Although they may no longer love each other anymore, they do like each other a lot (friendship love). I want Buster to win because Phil needs to stop winning all the time

I know this is really ridiculous how they're all a family at the drop of a hat and have we established if he has other kids yet, I'm sure a character like him has knocked up plenty of women, can't wait till DTC brings in a load of random kids of Busters for no reason.

If he does stay, I'd love a big feud between Buster and Phil, I could see Buster maybe getting in with Vincent, he seems like he will be up to some dodgy business when he returns. I would like to see Buster take Phil down a peg, Phil always wins and it is time for the shoe to be on the other foot. Or at least an equal rivalry.

I love Phil and Shirley scenes, when Phil isn't being an ass and Shirley isn't fawning over him. They have a nice bond between them. I also like their banter and sparring. I'm pleased that they didn't scrap scenes between them and are exploring their friendship again, I could see them as frenemies.

However with regards to Buster, I do hope tptb don't start bringing in secret children or whatever for him, I like that he doesn't have that baggage, don't want to see him as Derek mark 2! Though I wouldn't be opposed to a sibling or guest appearance from his parents. Maybe Reggie?

I would also like to find out more about Buster's history with Shirley.
