DTC gave her more to do than any other EP. He made me like Cora whereas Kirkwood and Newman made me hate her.
I absolutely disagree with this statement. You can say what you want about Kirkwood and Newman, but Cora was one of the leading ladies during their tenures. Kirkwood introduced her as a matriarch and Newman gave her the biggest story her character has had to date. DTC chucked Cora to one side and she only reared her head towards the end of last year.

Maybe they'll recast instead of axing her completely. Makes sense I guess.

Why would they recast her? Ann plays Cora so well its been her biggest role since Dolly Rawlins.

There is no debate here that Ann Mitchell is a good actress. The character however has no purpose on the show. She was given family which didn't work out. She has no real friends that like her or family that bother with her anymore. Stan died before marrying her so it's not like the Carter's are obliged to care for her or look out for her.

Vaslav I appreciate you are a fan of Ann Mitchell (quite rightly so) but the character in my opinion is stale and past her best. She would have worked better as a recurring character like Elaine Peacock. A lot of people like it when Elaine visits as she is a good character in small doses.

You must appreciate other people's opinions and can't get angry and irate when people do not agree with you. I happen to agree with you on several issues such as Alfie Moon desperately needing axed as well as Big Mo who is only ever used as some sort of "comic relief". At least you are now acknowledging that you forget that soaps are fiction sometime as you can come across really OTT and too much especially on certain issues.

I admit that I can be harsh on you but when you see someone who knows their stuff regurgitating the same stuff everyday it really annoys me.
WTF?

Mick and Charlie posses me off that episode tbh. Mick more so as it was all of his scenes but Charlie pushed his luck in his final scene. Charlie needs some sense knocking in and mick (my Phone keeps correcting to his name to mock :P) needs killing off. He's become
Unbearable and tbh I'd rather watch Alfie and mo with a lot of storylines then him.

Cora's episode on Thursday is still shrouded in mystery, will she leave, will she stay, will she return?

The mystery of Ann Mitchell's future on EE deepens, another contact I know who knows Ann knows nothing about her leaving the show.

Interesting...it almost suggests she's taking one of those mythical things known as a break...

Vincent arrives a day before Cora's exit. I've no doubt he will drive her off to an abbatoir and slaughter her mercilessly in revenge for all of her heinous crimes.

she really doesn't do much now..Tanya gone and other family now gone..She is pointless

would have been good if they got married and Stan left all her money then off she flitted with all of his money..Leaving the Carters with nothing

I still feel Cora has more to offer as a character and I am praying this is a break and not a permanent departure.

Don't be so mean . Why would you want Cora to be Janine's granny?
Not even Janine deserves that punishment .

Well obviously, her exit scenes are next week. Don't tell me I've overslept?

Yeah, but it hasn't been revealed that she's leaving for good. DTC will confirm that after the episode has aired.

I'm thinking of sending the missus up the loft to get the bunting out in preparation for Cora's final ever episode next week. She could probably give it a bit of a tidy while she's up there and all, two birds with one stone and that.
