That was a good storyline I thought. The gay domestic abuse angle was interesting. Naomi /Sonia on the other hand was one of EastEnders worst pairings.

I agree it was a superb storyline. I think the show did wonders in showing domestic abuse from a gay angle and the drastic parallels to heterosexual domestic abuse. I think the character of Tosh was largely to do with this, because she was so multifaceted and had so many dimensions to her personality it was hard to see her as a panto villain and this is why she was so likeable. I have no idea why the actress' contract was cut short. Hopefully she'll be back.

sorcha and Keyser, thank you.

BiB: i get what you mean totally, and I've also stopped posting a bit because of angry posts against Carter fans, but personally every time I see posts like that all I can do is laugh my ass off. I sat through I-don't-know-how-many-years-but-it-felt-like-effing-aeons of Branning overload, and now it's my turn to enjoy EastEnders. And if anyone else isn't enjoying it, well, y'know, the only advice I can give them is the same advice they constantly (and smugly) trotted out before the Carters joined: It's only a TV show. You can turn it off you know. OMGosh no need to take things so seriously The show's not in a dreadful place because I'm enjoying it You can't hate them: the daughter is hot so therefore she's stupendously talented

Ahahaha! Feel the force of Danny Dyer's acting! I love the Carters!

I don't hate them!

I like them but in smaller doses and I agree about the Bangings, er, Brannings!

I genuinely like Nancy and Lee though I think they are the best of the Carters bar Shirley who was a legend long before the rest arrived.

I love the Carters ♥ I love Linda and I love Mick. Nancy needs a proper storyline and I like her scenes with Tamwar. Shirley is an icon and I like her with Buster who I think is going to become a real handful in the Square. The only Carter who I think should go if he doesn't get something to do is Lee. I think the actor is capable of more.

Do you re-read your own posts? Genuine question. Your posts are extremely patronising. Baiting users is against T&C's. Paint it up all you like but you are as transparent as barricadoes. Your bids to suppress positive Carter opinions are embarrassing.

Speaking only for myself, I like reading thoughtful praise and criticism of all characters regardless of my feelings on said characters. I like getting a different perspective. It's the posters who present their opinions on a character or storyline as fact, as well as assumption that because I like the Carters that I love all of their stories and have no interest in anyone/anything else that leave a sour taste in my mouth.”

Eloquently put eejm.

Yes, I do re-read my posts. I'm very sorry that you failed to detect the sarcasm and humour in my post to Ell. I object to baiting users - the umpteenth time you have falsely accused me of something, and I also object to suppressing positive Carter opinions, I already had to make the effort of explaining that to you in the other thread - you seem to have ignored this ... again. I propose that you bring evidence the next time you decide to accuse me of something else that is untrue.

Again I am sorry that you detect patronising tones in my posts. I don't know why that is perhaps I don't do well at concealing my frustration of being victimised.

I wish nothing but good things for you dullagj2.

Time for some Carter salutations everyone! The negativity on some other threads is saddening.

I think an excellent storyline would be for Mick to violently beat the Philth to death for absolutely no reason at all other than he looked at his pint in a 'funny' way.

An after the watershed special featuring long, lingering super-slow motion camera shots of the brutal assault from all angles.

The last scene being of Lady Di piddling all over his battered corpse.

Not everyone's cup of tea I admit - but essential viewing for those of us bored to death of The Immortal One.

Yeah, it's such a shame he will still be 'owning' hardmen, professional heavyweight boxers, ex-special forces blokes and powerful big-time gangsters when he is about 97.

Very, very slowly shuffling towards them in his zimmer frame, bottle-top glasses and slippers.

I think it's fair that we have a thread focusing on the good aspects of the Carters considering all the negative ones we have on here. Personally I really like them, I may prefer other characters to be featured over them but that doesn't mean that I enjoy Eastenders more without them, personally I'm part of possibly a minority on here who's more than pleased they were created. Let's finish off that rape storyline though!
