Your Favourite EastEnders Character - 10th Anniversary Edition (Round 3, Group 2)
Did group one deliver or did it deliver? Aside from having the biggest turnout so far this year, we also had one of the closest contests EVER. You know it's a strong group when the playing field is so levelled that everyone is a contender - I'm not even bigging that up either, the movement on the board with just a few votes changed everything. A 40% gap between first and twentieth is crazily close!
It was that close in fact, that you've gone and made the top 16 a top 17 instead. Historically, I usually try to break ties myself but this time I made an exception, for you guys who love so many of these characters why not bolster the ranking round by one ![]() Group One Results 01 // Ian Beale – 62.0% 02 // Phil Mitchell – 57.7% 03 // Ronnie Mitchell – 54.9% 04 // Grant Mitchell – 53.5% 05 // Sharon Mitchell – 52.1% 06 // Frank Butcher – 49.3% 07 // Denise Fox – 46.5% 08 // Peggy Mitchell – 42.3% == // Jean Slater – 42.3% ---------------------------------------- 10 // Patrick Trueman – 39.4% 11 // Jane Beale – 38.0% 12 // Stan Carter – 33.8% 13 // Bradley Branning – 32.4% == // Mick Carter – 32.4% 15 // Lauren Branning – 31.0% == // Shirley Carter – 31.0% == // Tanya Cross – 31.0% 18 // Roxy Mitchell – 28.2% 19 // Charlie Cotton – 23.9% == // Little Mo Mitchell – 23.9% In such a popular round, we say farewell here to all the remaining Carters including one-time runner-up Shirley and recently deceased Stan. They fought a good fight, just remember nearly everyone was in the top few at some point. Little Mo, who stormed her group in round one, finishes last here with new kid on the block Charlie Cotton, a wildly popular character for someone so recent. The only former winner to fall here is 2007 champion Tanya Branning, one of the most convincing victories we've had, before her popularity dramatically fell in later years here on DS. Meanwhile we also lose Bradley, who was surprisingly in the top 8 for a long time in the voting. It's easy to forget how big he and his relationship with Stacey was back in their day. And through to the finals, and clear of the group rounds, Walford stalwart Ian Beale continues to ride the wave of his biggest year ever and takes the top spot here, nicely claiming a victory over all those with the Mitchell name who follow behind. Four former winners make it here, proving their popularity hasn't dried up, while Frank lives off a legacy too big to forget. Lastly, we have Peggy and Jean tying at 8th place, so rather than pick between them, they're both through! Continuing our strongest line-up ever, the rest of your top forty. Only eight will make it. Who should that be? ![]() Group Two Masood Ahmed Kathy Beale Dot Branning Jim Branning Max Branning Stacey Branning Bianca Butcher Janine Butcher Pat Evans Pauline Fowler Carol Jackson Zainab Masood Archie Mitchell Kat Moon Michael Moon Dennis Rickman Sean Slater Chrissie Watts David Wicks Cindy Williams Vote for your EIGHT favourites from group two. Voting will close Sunday. Check back then for the BIG knockout top seventeen(!) ranking round. |

Ought to be ashamed of yourselves, leaving MyLauren out in the cold like that. This is an incredibly tough round.

Max Branning Janine Butcher Pat Evans Carol Jackson Zainab Masood Kat Moon Michael Moon That was unexpectedly straightforward for me. I like or love almost all the characters in this round but these eight are among my all-time faves so it was fairly easy this time. Which is a relief after the last round, when I agonised forever over who to leave out between Lauren, Little Mo and Tanya - and it ended up not mattering because none of them got through to the next round anyway!
