DTC would never break them up because he loves the Carter unit BUT that's not to say that another producer would keep them together.

So when they do split how would you like it to happen?

Mick will probably have an affair which will lead to a break up.

Mick will have an affair with Roxy as she appears to be the main go-to chick for those.

Or Linda will have one with Max. If not, Phil or Ian as 2nd and 3rd understudies. Surprised how little she has interacted with the bald ginger one. If she's anything like Rachel, Tanya, Stacey, Becca, Vanessa, Kirsty, Emma, Karin and at least one more bird from the past (can't remember the name), Linda should have been head over heels by now. Maybe he'll work his charms on her in time.

It wont be DTC but a different producers would definitely do it, an affair with a new character for one of them. Probably a character that producer will introduce as a plot device.

I actually prefer Mick and Linda separate than as a couple...DTC would never break them up and I'm not 100% that Danny Dyer would stay on with a new EP, but affair seems the most likely option.

Exactly probably be one of the first things a new EP would do unless it's Alex Lamb.

I'd like to see them split, Linda just doesn't seem to fit with Mick...and she looks so much older than him. and maybe if they split Linda would go and take those two awful kids with her. I never seen such lifeless unlikeable kids as Lee and Nancy!

Mick will finally have that bowel movement he so obviously needs and he will realise life has more to offer without that look of constipation permanently etched on his face.

No-one will ever let Mick have a pony - it's an unwritten rule of EE.

We'll probably find out that Mick has a had a secret family all along and he's also the mother of his own secret children.

I always thought that they were setting up mick and Stacey to have some sort of liason from when Stacey was first back in the square as 'jenny' and Mick was trying to help her out. There was quite an interesting chemistry between them. But wouldn't like him to cheat on Linda, would prefer then to split and then get together with Stacey.

Shirley 'My-Name-Over-The-Door', Buster and Dean use legal trickery to take over the pub. Sales figures drop as few people want to experience the Service with a Snarl from the Hostess with the Least-est.

Mick gets sick and tired of Dean's oily smirk and disrespectful manner towards both Linda and Nancy and clubs him to death in the barrel store.

Mick goes to jail for murder, Linda and the two kids go back to Elaine's.

There'll be a problem with the baby and tests will reveal that it's Deans not Micks. Mick won't be able to accept it (because he'll make it all about him as per usual) and they'll split.

I had noticed that we have seen more about how Mick is coping with the rape since the reveal over Linda. I used to really like Mick last year but not so much anymore.

Didn't both Danny & Kellie say that if they were ever going to split them up they'd quit?

Big mistake ENSURING they never split up.

It limits both characters and this is already starting to come through on screen.

Then again, I suppose it beats the silly on/off relationships that never end. I love Kat & Alfie, but seriously... How many times are the producers going to split them up and get them back together again?

Well if they did, that's ridiculous.

That's like someone walking into the show and saying 'If you give me a scene with Jake Wood, I'll walk'.

I wouldn't miss Linda, Lee or Nancy one tiny little bit, if they left tomorrow. It's a shame because I liked Linda at first, but I've seen people on here claim Linda fits the landlady role really well, which I strongly disagree with. How can such a miserable woman, who doesn't even serve drinks these days, fit a landlady role? I know Linda has had a tough six months so far, but let's not forget the homophobic, judgemental and nagging person she was, before her ordeal.

Shirley, Mick, Tina on the other hand have EastEnders written all over them and really suit the show IMO. Especially Shirley! After seeing Linda Henry in other roles, I've realised what a credit she is to the show.

Linda would work better as a landlady if they went back to routes. Mick doesn't work well
Imo and with him making everything about him it's made the character disgusting. Lee needs a storyline to actually show of his talents which not everyone has seen him in beautiful thing but his underuse and underdevelopment isn't making him popular. Nancy has become marmite but I still like her.

I think that's a bit OTT if true. They might get away with saying things like that with DTC in charge but come the time when a new producer takes over and if he/she decides to split them and the actors complain they could just get axed without hesitation.

It has happened before.
