Do we call it the 10's? What is your favourite song of the decade so far. Any genre, it doesn't matter no matter how mainstream or little heard of.

Mine has to be G.R.L. - Ugly Heart.

stylo - gorillaz/womack/mos def

You asked for one, I know. I couldn't pick. My favourite commercial pop song of recent years is We Found Love by Rihanna.

Since 2010 I've always had a favourite song of the year, here's mine:

2010 - All The Lovers by Kylie Minogue
2011 - Till The World Ends by Britney Spears
2012 - Call My Name by Cheryl Cole
2013 - #Beautiful by Mariah Carey & Miguel
2014 - Your Love by Nicole Scherzinger

So far in 2015 my fave song of the year is Ghosttown by Madonna but that could be subject to change as Rihanna, Britney, Gwen Stefani prep their new albums and Mariah has Infinity coming out next week.

2011: Glad You Came - The Wanted
2012: Stronger - Kelly Clarkson
2013: Mirrors - Timberlake
2014: Love Never Felt So Good - MJ & Timberlake

2015 so far has been Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne but could easily change.

My ultimate favourite would have to be Hollywood by Marina & The Diamonds. It'll take a lot for any song to ever eclipse that as my favourite song I've ever listened to.

Honourable mentions go to Blue by Marina & The Diamonds, All The Lovers by Kylie Minogue, Blank Space by Taylor Swift and Budapest by George Ezra (this is probably my favourite song at the moment).

I can't choose one. I can't even choose one from each year, because 2011-2014 were just so good, as has this year so far. The last five years have been the best era since the 90s for me, but that's only because of what I've gone and looked for, rather than being complacent and being force fed mainstream rubbish. But here's a few;

Part Time - Night Drive (2013)
Austra - Energy (2010)
Mac Demarco - Freaking Out the Neighbourhood (2012)
Wild Nothing - A Dancing Shell (2013)
Alvvays - Party Police (2014)

And for this year: Tame Impala - 'Cause I'm a Man

Here's mine.

Lazerhawk - So Close 2010
Voltaire Twins - Animalia 2011
Alt-J - Something Good 2012
Cults - High Road 2013
Tycho - See 2014
Buxton - Half a Native 2015

Holy crap was 2012 hard to choose from... so many good albums. Now Now's Threads, Wild Nothing's Nocturne, Angus Stone's Broken Brights and Miami Nights 1984's Turbulence all came out that year.

You I like. Nocturne is a fabulous album. Title track and This Chain Won't Break are my personal highlights.
