Everytime something serous happens, I laugh out loud - and remind myself people in this show are a different planet altogether!

I stopped watching Hollyoaks last year and I feel really good about it. Judging from the comments on here about how bad the show is, I can't see myself watching it again.

The thread title made me think: why was Cameron sitting in the Lomaxes? I thought he confessed to killing their parents?

I don't watch anymore but I did see that scene channel hopping .

It is like a cartoon parody now. I have to agree unfortunately. I feel the show has become too plot-driven and repetitive. Why does Kirkwood repeat storylines so frequently? Most soaps take a few years before they repeat a storyline, but not Hollyoaks. They repeat the same crap within the same year or so!

Nancy's pill-popping and Ste's drug abuse seem to reoccur every time Kirkwood needs a "hard hitting" drug abuse storyline.
Then there's that looney toon Sienna and her constant meddling and kidnappings, which always end with her being sectioned. How much more meddling can this idiot do, seriously? How many more people can she kidnap and imprison?
Freddie's affairs with Lindsey is another one - they did this storyline TWICE, first when Joe was in a coma and then again when Lindsey gave birth to Joe Jr. Why did this storyline have to happen twice? Simply the most distasteful couple on the show.
As if Freddie and Lindsey's "epic" love story wasn't enough, Kirkwood gives us another "epic" love story in the form of Tegan and Ziggy. A relationship that was born out of a spontaneous shag on an elevator! Really?! How am I suppose to take this seriously?
And then there's Patrick Blake's endlessly tedious schemes against Maxine. This guy has literally nothing better to do but make Maxine's life hell on a 24/7 basis. Him and Sienna are just two of the most one-note characters on the show. I actually really like the character, but Kirkwood insists on making Patrick's world revolve around Maxine.
Not to mention the cartoon gangsters Trevor and Grace, who've become soft as a pillow now in order to ensure their longevity on the show. They have nothing to offer on the show besides a boring cycle of threats and murder. A poor man's Warren Fox and Clare Devine really. All this nonsense with Esther having a baby for them is hard to take seriously too. Are we meant to say, "awww, how cute that the resident psychopathic gangsters wanna have a baby with Esther"?

All of this has just served to drag the show down into utter tedium and make it seem as if it's being written by a group of chimpanzees.
