As Les is away, and left Billy in charge, is there a possibility of him mixing Stan's and Jim's coffins up?

Hopefully he'll bury Lee by mistake.

I Quite like lee but he need some serious development soon. He's pretty much just an extra. Mick however... Screenhogs, turns everything about him, doesn't respect his kids or his mum, is selfish and the rhyming slang is tedious. Dean should kill him off and get sent down for the murder as the rape has no evidence

It would be impossible for him not to make a mess of things.

The fact that Billy has been put in charge (temporarily), and the fact that both funerals are on the same day, means that mixing up the two bodies would be an obvious storyline to do. Which is why it would be so stupid and desperate - so I hope they don't. It's not as if a funeral director has never before been responsible for doing two funerals on the same day.

I suppose it would be the obvious route to take - it would give the Carters a reason to be shoved into the Branning funeral as well.

They both have the same coffin as well .

No, she said that Stan would have the most expensive coffin; she is just doing it at cost price for the Carters so that they get it cheaper.

That's unprofessional and hypocritical given that she had a go at Les for doing virtually the same thing!

He can use it as an opportunity to bury the stolen post.

There is bound to be a c*ck up if Billy is involved, resulting in him being fired for 409th time.

He gets Alfie involved so there's a possibility that they will both stuff it up!

I can imagine!

There would be the Bangings and their coffin (comprising Stan) and the Farters with theirs (Jim) and they turn up at the same time because the chapel/crematorium is double booked (courtesy of Alfie).

It would be a farce, a 'dead dad double dilemma'!

He already has by agreeing to do them on the same day. God knows how that works out with the vicar, but even assuming he's okay with it, they've got to organise 2 sets of funeral cars, pall bearers etc. Unless they are several hours apart, say 10am and 3pm they won't have one set back home before the cars need to start for the next one. It isn't the sort of thing that can be rushed, making the bereaved get back in the cars to go home after the burial or cremation.

They aren't a huge funeral firm, they probably only have one hearse and a couple of cars. Hiring more will cost and they can't charge the extra on to the customer if they agreed to the date.

I don't think they'd have a muck up re coffins getting mixed up giving it is also kind of a tribute to John Bardon. Keeping true to Jim's character in having people remind us he was far from perfect is one thing, having a 'comedy' funeral could be seen as disrespectful.

Funeral Directors decide on the time of funerals. They would not overstretch themselves.

Billy could end up in this situation saving the day, unlike Les and Pam he actually (weirdly) has some business mindset when it comes to the running of it.

Also why on earth do either of these characters need the most expensive coffin? These are two families stretched for cash and rather than go midrange they want the Bentley of coffins.

I really hope there is not stupid drama around the funerals. I just think it needs to be respectful.

I thought that. Did Billy say embalming? Since when did everyday folk do this? Must admit all the funerals I've been involved in were cremations so different situation.
