Let's be honest here, in real life if someone as unpopular and with as many enemies as Toxic Tracy owned a pub which relies on regulars for its trade (which back street boozers do) it would be out of business in a week.

The majority of regulars in the Rovers can't stand Tracy and if she was landlady would go elsewhere (The Flying Horse ?) and the rest wouldn't take long to go with her sneering attitude and the rude obnoxious gob she's got.

If this cout-de-ta they're planning to get the Rovers comes off and everyone still goes in as normal with toxic lauding it up behind the bar sniping at them then CS will have hit a new height of unbelievability.

You'd think so, but they still go in her shop.

Andrea didn't want to tonight and made it clear.

How desperate was Lloyd for a cuppa he had to get a kettle from a second-hand shop when he'd have his own in his flat above the office he could pop upstairs and borrow.

Knowing Corrie though they'd still go to the Rovers. Nobody is capable of leaving the street anymore or going anywhere else that isn't on their doorstep. At least in the past characters used to go to places like the Flying Horse.

Same with why Gail had to keep buying flowers from Dev's shop, or as you mentioned people using Tracy's shop even though there must be many others like it.

I can't wait to say "you're barred".
I hope Tracy gets the pub. So much entertainment to be had if she does.

And a great way for Tracy to put herself out of business even quicker, especially with the pub trade the way it is today (unless your part of a large pub chain).

The writers have obviously been watching too much EastEnders, this Tracy and Tony scheming to steal the pub nonsense is something that goes on in EE all the time. Over the years Den, Sharon, Ian, Dan, Grant, Phil, Peggy, Archie, Janine and probably more I've forgotten have all conspired to get their hands on the pub - as if its some grand prize as if owning some tatty little pub is the be all and end all. Now we've got the same thing happening on corrie. Why on earth would Tracy want to own the Rovers? She's lived next door to the pub almost her whole life and never shown any interest in owning it. Not to mention she's a convicted murderer who nobody likes, isn't she worried the regulars will desert the place with her behind the bar? She's insulted and been rude to each and every one of them at some point. She worked there once before as well and hated it, Tracy's always been lazy and desperate for money if she's finally bagged herself a rich fella why would she want him to waste his cash on a run down pub when she could have a big flash house and expensive holidays instead? The whole thing makes no sense.

To spite Liz and to sneer at the others in the street and show them she's "made it".

WTF is going on with this whole scenario? In a week Tony and Tracy have gone from having a casual affair to him leaving Liz and coming up with plans to have Tracy shack up with him in the pub?

It is far too rushed and bizarre, and really contrived. The only thing I can think of is a sudden illness in the cast, but they all seem fine. Unless Bev Callard has decided she needs to up and leave again like she does every time.

What really gets me is why any self respecting bloke would fall for Tracy at all, never mind cheat on your current 'girlfriend' & put her out of business just cos Tracy asked you to!!
Before anyone accuses me of being 'shallow' or whatever, thos is not a jibe at Kate Ford's appearance, Tracy could be a Miss World contender but the fact remains, malice, vitriol, hate, spite & a conviction for the cold blooded murder of your previous partner just ain't sexy or desirable qualities in a woman, full stop!!!!
In real life, the woman would be a pariah, touched only by blokes with a far lower moral compass than the likes of Tony, Frank Foster or Rob!!

Have to agree that the Tony/Tracey affair has been odd to say the least. Tracey has more to offer than Liz in the sex appeal stakes so if that's all he wants or if indeed he is inlove with Tracey why doesn't Tony just leave Liz since they've no ties to oneanother. And if it's really love with Tony and Liz why the hell would he bin it all for the sake of someone like Tracey??!! It's all very unbelievable and Tracey behind the bar of the Rovers will turn the show into a Carry on Corrie, very silly IMO.

In real life she wouldn't stand a chance of getting a licence because she doesn't have the qualifications to get one and lets not forget her criminal record (I know they somehow allowed her out on some flimsy excuse but it would still be on her file).
