BT Parental Controls Out of Control
IanP

Some months ago BT forced me to complete an online form stating I didn't want to activate BT Parental Controls (the form popped up on BBC iplayer on my Now TV box and was unusable there, I completed the form on my laptop). Today I started getting sites blocked because my parental control setting were set to light according to the block page. When I went to My BT the Parental Control option was showing an Activate button suggesting it was inactive. Clicking learn more took me to a page with a manage parental controls link which took me back to the previous page. Clicking Activate set the control level to light. I initially changed this to custom with no blocks selected, this didn't help (maybe I didn't give it enough time), I then found a Parental Controls on/off switch, so set it to off, again with no effect (in the time I allowed). I then found a delete parental controls option and selected that to remove it completely initially with no effect but it finally looks like it's gone now.

This interference with my internet access is getting really annoying.

Hello If I were you I would change parental control software , for example I use the software from http://www.refog.com/ I use it about 6 months and have no problems with filtering spy sites and bad content ) Its only my experience and nothing else

I'm having problems. It suddenly switched itself on tonight and is blocking sites. Switching it to "off" has no effect, the sites are still blocked after a few hours. I will look for that delete option. Pain in the arse.
