Playing happy families with them and stuff all the while, still switching the signs at the garage, phoning about Aaron for something or other and going under the radar, she could have a been a bit of virus, causing trouble but going unnoticed. However, if all the key players are seeing her right now for what she is then I'm struggling to see how long she's going to be able to keep it up without being exiled again? All it would take is a conversation with Val which could slowly drip down to James and he would call her out for being a liar, again. Surely the boys would be nearer the final straw with her after that? For however how much they protest, I bet they would choose James over Emma.
Maybe the writers and storyliners are actually more intelligent that I have given them credit for but for me this story seems like it's nearly done or we've had scenes way to early.”
I'm enjoying Emma but I wholeheartedly agree with this. Her arc seems to be progressing way too quickly. I would have liked a more softly-softly approach with her. Not sure how much further they can really take her without going all-out villain. Bit of a wasted opportunity methinks as the character has/had real potential and the actress is great. But then like you say, maybe they do have a trick up their sleeve to turn the story on it's head? I do hope so.
