There was a local County Council by-election around my way yesterday. I've just seen the result:

Con: 39.7%
UKIP: 30.5%
LD: 4.7%
Ind: 7.6%
Lab: 17.5%

Turnout 18% (I was going to vote but forgot. Honest)

Thanks!

For politics to become more balanced and the government to be held in check one of the things that needs to happen is the Lib Dems get their act together and become stronger -might be a bit of a wait! 😁

Right now every opposition party needs to sharpen up their act, can excuse the SNP from this.
Should be a fairly easy job to expose this particularly poor government and their shallow leader but the only real opposition comes from our BFM and her Westminster party leader.

Sorry my minds a little fuzzy as I've just been having a text chat with a friend about Joan Collins upcoming theatre tour -so sorry if being a bit dippy but what does BFM stand for?

Ok thanks for clarifying!! 😁

She's got much wider appeal than Salmond (who I liked) and she's certainly capable of being a thorn in the Tory government's side! 😁

Aren't they down two.

Apparently recent polling suggests UKIP are actually now getting a bigger vote share in England than Labour is in Scotland. Who could ever have imagined that a few years ago.

Might be a rogue poll, have to see if the trend continues. If it is correct, what a turn around for Labour.
