There was a local County Council by-election around my way yesterday. I've just seen the result:
Con: 39.7% UKIP: 30.5% LD: 4.7% Ind: 7.6% Lab: 17.5% Turnout 18% (I was going to vote but forgot. Honest) |

Apparently recent polling suggests UKIP are actually now getting a bigger vote share in England than Labour is in Scotland. Who could ever have imagined that a few years ago. |
