Are people really taking the polls seriously still? Seriously? Because last time I checked we aren't living with Labour and SNP coalition in a hung parliament and Ed Millaband isn't Prime Minister! All we can take from the is that it seems very close.

So, nothing in the world will ever change. The EU will continue as it is, establishments will regard the referendum as a token little opportunity to appease the people, reforms will never be made, the elite will get more powerful and the little people ever ignored.

One chance, just one chance to change things, and nobody bothered. Instead everyone worrying too much about what might happen for a year or two rather than forever.

Obviously, people love being dictated to by self serving unelected bureaucrats, so crack on! I'm going to enjoy telling people "I told you so".

Yes, I'm bitterly disappointed and I will get over it. But what a truly gutless and consumed country we've become.
The country isn't gutless just because it disagrees with your grand visions of what our future should be. If you hate what we've become so much, you can always try to moving to a non-EU country.

Well I am going out to put my X down as Tony Benn's vote tomorrow, as I did 40 years ago.
Others will have different reasons, for and against, across the country. Millions of votes piling up will decide it. For now.

I hate to be one of *those* people, but I always planned to emigrate and leaving the EU was probably the one thing that could stop me. So by the looks of things it's farewell my fellow Europeans

The status quo always wins in the UK. I have never had any doubt Remain would win.

Remain haven't won yet.

Let's wait and see, shall we, before we get despondent?

Just go and vote, and you'll have done your bit.

Agree, I am voting out.

When things go wrong with the corrupt EU at least I'll know I tried.

Well, there were 650 separate votes with differing options to poll about then.

This one has the same options for the whole country.

So 'in theory' it should be easier to estimate percentages.

The astonishing fact there is 51% don't know how they will vote but definitely will vote!

Polls are really all over the place. Clear leads for Remain with the phone polling but leads for leave in online polls. One method has to be wrong...
And telephone polls are meant to be more biased towards older people (in this case Brexit) and online towards younger and the social demographic more likely to vote Leave. Obviously they're meant to iron out these biases but even so seems like the polls again have a plus or minus 3% (or more) error in them

Me too. As the politicians love to say, the only poll that matters is the one on polling day. Remain is favourite, but you never know.

Yes, what are they going to do, toss a coin? Consult their daily horoscope? "Today is a day for casting off the shackles of the past and remembering the things that really matter. Be brave in your decisions and you cannot fail. Lucky word for today - Leave".

Indeed. How many were polled between the 17th - 20th? Because we saw a slight swing back to remain over that period.

So the poll isn't really up to date is it?

Well said, Wizzywick. Well said.
Yup. Nothing brave about Britain anymore. I wonder would the French vote to get Out?
If I'm honest, this whole referendum has caused me to become depressed. I hate taking medication. This country is so much more important to me than worrying about a few effing quid. I thought British people were proud of their country? Seems all they care about now are materialistic things. Every sane person knows that all the prophecies of doom are exaggerated and even if there was a small recession, we've had recessions before, and none as bad as the time when people lost their homes and jobs back in 1992/1993.

We are all still here. Britain survived. I think, if Brexit loses that will be the last ever opportunity Britain gets to remain as a pure Sovereign state. It will devastate me to see this country undermined to become an insignificant region of an imperialist socialist superstate.

I often wonder, should we find ourselves in a situation like the 1940's where the wartime communities stuck together and sacrificed so much for the benefit of their country, that these days, those sacrifices would not be forthcoming because people really do, and this saddens me, put themselves first. We are a "me, me, me" country where what suits "me" is the way I will vote and f*** the country, I couldn't care less.

These same people will then pretend to assume that our ancestors "died for their freedoms". Well, yes they did, but they wouldn't expect those freedoms to mean surrendering our country to foreign bureaucrats who we didn't even vote for.

Well, I hope your money in your bank accounts are safe and snug. After all, that's why people are voting to remain. Me? Well, I haven't got any money so my vote is going to be based on the future democracy and preservation of our sovereignty for ALL British citizens, for now and the future. This one chance was lost to make a difference in the world, to tell the establishments, "NO! We don't like how it's going." But instead we threw that chance away and decided to say to the corrupt, to the powerful bankers who caused the global crash in 2008, to the elite, to the arrogant establishment that in honesty, just carry on. We want more of the same! So, here we are. Getting more of the same and forever.

No and it's pre-Independence Day speech.

Well it's looking remain now. Just have to wait for the real votes tomorrow night.

I have just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow on the BBC. The forecast for London and the south east is truly dreadful - thunderstorms and heavy rain almost the entire day with the worst of it around both rush hours with a risk of significant flooding. Not sure how that might affect turnout. The only break is around lunchtime and after 9pm.

As I've always said Remain were always going to win this, my missus and I differ on what we favour so my question is is there any point of us both voting if we're just going to cancel each other out?
