I think Labour will be a bit relieved with that. After a spell, they are effectively back to the situation on Election Day 2015. You'll recal, they gradually built up in th polls to a point where they were starting to show parity, until the Chicken Coup sent them back down into the depths again.
A few polls maybe.

As for the timing, how many people do you think really pay much attention to opposition party conferences, at this stage in an electoral cycle?
Strange that other opposition conferences in the past have tended to give a poll bounce, if only a small one. This is in part due to the increased media coverage meaning that the party, its leader and its main spokespersons are thrust to the fore, and partly due to the policies being announced chiming with the public (after all, many such announcements seem to be timed and expressed to be media-friendly).

Seems the voters are not respecting Jeremy's massive mandate.

Yep all we need is a handful more referenda to split the Tory support and Labour will be a shoo in

Let us see if the Tories get a "bounce" after the conference, now that will be interesting as Corbyn got zilch bounce after his.

So much for Corbyn's huge mandate and the resurgence of socialism.

The 17pt lead for the Tories is the second highest ever recorded by ICM in its polling series going back to 1992.

On existing boundaries, that would give the Tories a majority of 114, with Labour losing 51 seats (down to 181)

Yes, bit of a surprise.
I would have thought that the Lib Dems would have picked up some disaffected Labour voters.

Maybe those 2 Lib Dem MP's who defected to the Conservatives killed that off.

I support UKIP, but I'm looking to the Tories to give me what I want.

There's a Labour defection to the Conservatives

Labour councillor in Shepway defects to the Conservatives

Cllr Claire Jeffrey was also the Labour candidate for Folkestone and Hyde at the last General Election.

Baroness Zahida Manzoor (October 9th) and
Lady Nicholson (September 11th)

Speaking as a disaffected Labour voter, I will never forgive the Lib Dems for supporting the Tory Party in Government for 5 years. I am sure many feel the same.

They are not MPs, they are unelected Lords who have no accountability to the people.

Time to abolish the HoL or make it entirely elected by PR.

Well they are members of the House of Lords, and they get to vote on legislation, and they can hold cabinet positions (or even shadow cabinet positions) so, yes, although unelected, they are still MP's
