Well it falls on a Thursday this year so most people will probably be out anyway for work apart from the unemployed and the elderly.
It's always held on Thursday.

The Sun has put this article up citing evidence that there will be no royal baby bounce for Tories: http://www.sunnation.co.uk/why-the-r...on-_-173167914

Oh ok, I didn't know. 2010 was the first year I voted and couldn't remember which day it was.

Apparently owing to the cost of the football sky news is set to have a pounding on the budget. Ironically the staff are calling a meeting this week, Does that mean strike action?

they have overdone the EM hammering so much I think people have just switched off.
I do think the non stop SNP warnings will hurt but also if former voters see the SNP getting smug that could backfire big time. Wee Eck as gone quiet again

its been hilarious seeing the libdems acting like the Guardians and Democracy they still don't even know if Clegg will keep his seat yet talking like everyone loves them, The tories look set to clean them out in the west country
Its probably in the SNPs best interests to keep Salmond out of the way. Its certainly better for Labour if he isn't all over the news. He isn't liked in England whereas Sturgeon at least seems to have been embraced.

That explains a lot but strangely isn't something his papers or media outlets tend to draw attention to very much at all....
It seems The Sun has started whining about it: https://twitter.com/dylsharpe/status/591478871934906370

that does seem to the problem with Crosby's plan doesn't it.
they didn't expect Sturgeon to be liked

Poor cherubs!
Given SKYs Kay Burleys unprofessional bias during the TV debate they've only got themselves to blame.

Speaking of Sky, hope we get a repeat of this

They will be in such a flap if Labour are the largest party.

I'll take your word for that. Why was it on a Tuesday in 1931?

To be fair Alastair did accuse him of bias live on TV and a probably tired Andrew took it personally which is understandable. I don't think he was shouting to win an argument.. he just didn't like what he was being accused of.

Anyway they must be on good terms now as AC appeared on his Sky News show the other week.

Interesting how static YouGov seems to be in comparison to other pollsters

Yougov is the one I trust most. It usually is always the most accurate and they put their whole reputation on the line by predicting the Scottish Referendum outcome almost to the exact same % as the final result.

Opinium Poll for The Observer

In the new poll, the Tories were down three points on 34%, to Labour's 33% (up one), with UKIP on 13% (unchanged), Liberal Democrats on 9% (up one) and Greens on 6% (up one).

A separate survey carried out by YouGov for The Times suggested Labour's campaign was having more effect than the Tories'.

Some 17% said they had seen something in recent days to make them feel more positive about Labour, while 17% said they had seen something negative.

When asked about the Tories, 13% said they had seen something to make them more positive about the party and 25% negative.

Asked who was running the best campaign, 26% of the 1,094 people questioned on Friday named the Scottish National Party, 17% Labour, 14% Conservatives, 9% UKIP - and just 2% the Liberal Democrats and Greens.

Meanwhile, polling of six marginal seats by former Tory treasurer Lord Ashcroft suggests the Conservatives are on track to seize back the Kent constituency of Rochester & Strood, which they lost to UKIP following the defection of MP Mark Reckless last year.
