I do the baby talk too
My cat just follows me everywhere. I can't have a shower without her waiting outside and crying. She loves her butt scratched and if you don't pet fast enough she'll shout at you. When it's time for bed she will follow and jump on the bed then cuddle my feet before moving up to behind my legs. Lucky for me I don't move as when I last did she got up, gave the loudest meow then lay back down.
She is definitely the boss of me and gets away with everything because she's so cute. She knows it too and uses it to her advantage
