When he met Donna (2nd time) he says something like "Course she fancied me" (talking about Martha)
Fondest 10 memories? Can I just say all of them (apart from Love & Monsters and Midnight)?
David Tennant will always be my Doctor. Absolutely perfect in the role; he was simply born to play the character and I hope he continues to remain as arguably the most popular Doctor of them all.
From 'new teeth' to the final sad 'I don't want to go' He was every inch the perfect doctor. For me he was the best doctor there has been, and likely always will be.
The combination of mostly strong stories and such a good doctor mean that I can't see there will ever be a better era than his time on the show.
Have to disagree with those saying he was perfect. Far from it. Often wildly uneven in tone and performance though one can probably blame the writing for that. And same could be said of Smith. But he could really do sombre and serious fantastically and was given more scope for this than Smith who no doubt would've been equally as good if they hadn't made him such a clown. But Tennant really nailed that sad sense of regret not only with the loss of his people but also with Rose. Yes it dragged on and ultimately became quite sickly but you really got a sense that he had lost his 'true love'-choose to define love however you wish- and it was moments like those when you saw the internal conflict between the doe eyed lovelorn Doctor and that ever present cold rationality that he really shone. In any other hands it could've been diabollically bad. Tennant totally sold it and made it shine. As he did in Human Nature and FOB- another story about loss and regret and a true love that gets ruined by circumstance. Some would argue such themes are rather UN-Doctorish. And I slightly agree. But if they had to be there and they did then thank God it was Tennant doing it. Yes Bad Wolf Bay is one of his if not the famous moment. But it's the end of FOB which really shows what an incredible Doctor Tennant could be. His switch from bumbling John Smith to cold hearted 'executioner'of the Family to his then forlorn and futile attempts to regain some swagger with Joan who then shoots him down so mercilessly...It's a masterclass of acting.
