Has a bigamy/double life storyline ever been done? I'm not counting Peter Barlow's feeble attempt where he married two women weeks apart and they both found out 5 minutes later. I mean a proper storyline where a character is revealed to have a second wife and secret kids having been living a double life for years?

Been done on Family Affairs, which was a brilliant story.

Didn't ED do this with Mark Wylde? I don't know the details, as I wasn't a regular viewer at the time, but didn't Natasha discover that he had another family, and was going by a completely different name? I think he was married to Faye Lamb, hence Ryan being his son.

Neighbours had Helen marry Michael Daniels, who turned out to have a very much alive wife, living in a care home suffering with Alzheimer's.

What about a story about a male virgin who is saving himself for marriage. That has never been done before and could be very interesting. Also what about a story where one character gets an STD and it gets spread to several other characters.

Years ago in Corrie Emily Bishop married a man called Arnold Swain who was already married to someone else.

Andybear, my heart goes out to you ,I know how hard it is for those people who have an ongoing struggle with mental illness and I think the soaps have not portrayed it to its full extent,.I hope that the help you get greatly improves your life.

As someone who also suffers with Mental illness, I also can sympathise

I find soap storylines on mental illness very poor. Stacey and Jean's were done very well for bipolar, but in terms of depression and eventual breakdowns, Ian Beale's and Steve Macdonald's storylines were poorly dealt with. In fact, both have resumed to a normal state of mind within weeks. It's pathetic and unrealistic.

Thanks so much Silent-Tears, I appreciate your comments. I'm very lucky in that mental health treatment in the area I live in is excellent. I know a lot of people complain about the NHS but I really can't fault them.

Sorry that you're suffering with it too little-monster. I agree that being back to normal in weeks is totally unrealistic . You know yourself that it never goes away completely. I was diagnosed several years ago - a lot of the time it's manageable but it isn't at the moment.

I think there have been some STDs in HO. Dom saved himself (don't know if it was until marriage thiugh) and he was mid-twenties.

Have there been any storylines about feeders in any of the soaps?
