Did he even know the girl he fancies? Thought he came across as rather cocky TBH with the "Make some noise!" stuff, dont know why.
Ronan Parke meets Olly Murs. Frightening.”

Probably because it's another "four chord song". It's the same chord progression as Gabz 'Lighters' from 2013, as well as hundreds of other songs like Pink 'Perfect' already mentioned, and 'Where Is the Love' by BEP.

Normally when a person comes on stage with a guitar in hand and he performs you actually hear him playing the guitar. On this occasion you could barely hear the guitar, it's so simple because he wasn't really playing it! Add to the fact he was drowned out by a professional sounding intstrumental backing track. Really?! It was a professional backing track! Where would a 12yo be able to get something like that from? He just handed it in to the people backstage to play when he come out on stage? Yeah right! It was all set-up from the start! I'd have more respect if he just sang and played the guitar for real.”

it certainly didn't look like at the start, and the capo suddenly moved halfway through the song from quite high up the neck, down to the 1st fret.

I assume that if he gets through, we'll be subjected to the same song again, cos I'm sure I heard his mum say that he'd only "written" 1 song, if indeed he did write it, I notice I'm not the only one thinking he didn't

There's a bit of 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' by The Script as well and 'Somebody to You' by The Vamps.
Gabz's song reminded me of 'Where is the Love' too

I know he's a kid and the act is basically meant as a cute bit of fun, but I did think bearing in mind the story that this was for a girl who probably doesn't even know he exists, it's a little bit creepy to have lyrics (I forget them exactly) like "you're everything to me", "you're the only one", etc. Kind of stalkery

I was thinking the same thing, do they even know each other?

I also hope he doesn't come across these comments! He's 12 years old! A kid. Can any of you even remember being 12 years old? Were you the 'perfect version of yourself' you surely are today? Or are you just sat there in your underpants in parent's spare room wishing you had the guts to actually put yourself out there?

Poor kid probably hasn't heard any worse in his school playground....

So how did my comments make *you* feel? You probably felt *something* ..... ?
Please, stop and think before you write such negative, weird things about a kid.

Thanks.

Just to make the point, though, that the lad does have parents, and, assuming they're not too dazzled by the prospect of him becoming a "nice little earner", then it seems reasonable to assume that they, at least, would be very aware that once someone, anyone, any age, appears in a public performance they will be commented on and criticised.

Some of those comments will be kind and generous, others more the opposite.

That's a fact of life, for everyone, youngsters or adults.

You know, I'm not entirely sure that many people would be expecting such negativity. It's only once you've put your head above the parapet and actually done something like this show, that you realize how truly vile many people feel the need to be.

The thing is though, these comments reflect the person making them, not the one they are being made about. There are some very unhappy people on this forum. I feel for you all, and I'm glad I'm not one of you.

BIB - It seems none of us is above making the odd nasty comment.

Don't have anything against the boy personally but I think everyone has the right to comment on the acts as to how they genuinely feel- the age should not matter, because if the act cannot accept criticism then they shouldn't be entering until they are older and able to handle it anyway. I wish the boy good luck, he seems talented for his age.

The only downside to these acts like Gabz, Bars & Melody and now Henry is that they don't really add anything new or interesting to the music industry.

Gabz and Bars & Melody both scored a top 10 hit but have struggled to get any success in the charts since. I suspect Henry will get a record deal and a top 10 hit at some point in the summer.

I would be more impressed if one of these acts successfully capitalised on their new found fame and actually managed to sustain their career for a number of years. Sadly it's the UK and the money hungry record companies get bored of their own acts too quickly and move on to their next victim...I mean artist.

His age is immaterial as he put himself in to the programme so needs to take critique. He seems supremely confident ,but he is only moderately talented and the song was ghastly ,someone somewhere has written something very similar as it sounded familiar

This ^^^ Also, am I wrong, but has a child act never been buzzed?

No matter how talented, there is still something about children appearing in this show that leaves me feeling uncomfortable - probably recalling a few years back when there were tears on stage. I really think that there should be a separate 'Britain's Got Junior Talent' programme (and yes, I probably say this every year!!)
