Apart from the Spencers she has axed those who were hated on here when she took over - Dom, Gemma, Robbie and Katie

None of those were 'hated'. They died of viewer indifference.

Not by everybody, especially Robbie and Katie.
Her 'recruits' are just as loathed by some - but I suppose that's different.
Also she reads other Emmerdale forums, has joined one or two, and views on those differ greatly from those on DS - which, incidentally, the cast etc. have been told to steer clear of.

I dont blame the cast being advised to steer well clear of forums. Some of the posts can be shocking.

I'm excited. Emmerdale has been great this year and I feel like all the storylines like Laurel's lies, Emma's psychopathy and Robert's murder fetish are definitely leading up to something far bigger.

To name but two shocking examples:

Happened in the small community of Dunblane
Happened in West Cumbria when that man shot people in the Whitehaven area.

It has/does/could happen.

It would make sense if this were to happen with the introduction of a lot of background characters that have been introduced during the course of the year and the lack of development between couplings.
With the Spencer's also set up to leave it will be interesting to see if they are involved somehow.

Personally I think it is going to be to do with the Debbie and Ross stuff mixing with the White's and Donny.

My hopes for who will die are: Marlon, Jai, the Spencer's, Darren, Donny, Vanessa and Robert.

Edit: I missed out James Barton and Sam Dingle. They can die too. Oh and Tracy, Georgia and Rishi.

Edit Edit: In fact, as long as the Metcalfe's, Kerry, Finn, Ross and Chrissie are left alone I don't think I'll mind who goes.

Out of those lot you listed, I would only agree on Rachel. I can't see where else the character can go and the character has been quite annoying recently I feel like some of the other characters like Megan, just need a fresh direction. I really like the actress who plays Megan so wouldn't want her to go.

I really like the Sharmas, apart from Jai. I wouldn't mind if he left - always been a character I haven't liked, I find him so unsympathetic.

I wouldn't want any of the Bartons to go. I feel like we've only just scratched the surface with the Barton boys. I do think Emma might have something to do with this disaster though if it's true, so I could see her being killed off.

And I can't imagine Emmerdale without our Sammeh Dingle!

I would get rid of David - always found him a bit annoying too, but I think it would be a really good storyline. Alicia would have to cope without him, and it would also give Eric and Val some good screen time.

Dunblane is a town not a 2 street hamlet.

It is still a relatively small place, fact is shootings can happen anywhere.

A lot of people on here liked Robbie and Katie and were sorry when they were killed off. I didn't like Robbie initially when he was brought in as a sort of hard man but when they went down a different route with him I thought he was great. Like others have said on this forum it's a shame they didn't make more of Robbie and Finn's friendship, they were great together.

If that is the case? then at least half of the cast should be fearing the axe!

In the last fav character game Katie was the 4th biggest climber over the last year.
She finished ahead of all the Spencers (including Dan) and ahead of all the Sharmas
She also finished ahead of longtimers like Andy, Edna, Ashley, Rodney, Btenda, Laurel, Belle, Rhona, Bob, Betty, Sandy, Lisa, Sam and Marlon.

After a difficult/bad couple of years, her character was being 'fixed' and back home with the Sugdens where she really belonged. Katie no more deserved the axe than those i listed. Robbie was also an improving character after a difficult couple of years.

She wasn't axed, she chose to resign, but let's not go there again.....

Yes, it's a shame about Katie. From what she and KO said, I thought she was in it for the long term.

Jai and Rachel are the two who most desperately need to get killed off.

David's death has great storyline potential what with Alicia, but I think it would be a bad move to turn Alicia into someone who suffers from miserable circumstance after miserable circumstance. Not to mention I love David and would hate for him to leave.

I don't think Katie was axed either, if she had been I think her exit would have been handled much better.

Which you lack evidence to prove so unless it's stated otherwise that is what happened.

I can't post proof somewhere like this forum, but I don't lack it, so believe what suits you, but I have received obviously read recordings of cast members being 'interviewed' by press office staff and typed press office releases of 'interviews'. As have DS and numerous others. Have you ever read those interviews on different publications? They're all the same.
