Look on the bright side. Moira and Cain probably will split up but it doesn't necessarily mean death, or either of them leaving. Positive thinking, folks.
Those two just need a storyline, whatever it involves. They've been so underused this year.

The worship of Cain from the fans and the producers, who seem to love posting gratuitous photos of him on the FB/twitter pages, sometimes baffles me.[/QUOTEe.
Gratuitous photos???Where???I've missed these
Each to their own JOP. As to the producers, if they think s character is popular, they're going to taje advantage of that for marketing. It's not favouritism any more than it is when Aaron's plastered all over magazines. Can't say I'm on FB or Twitter much these days but I don't remember ED posting gratuitous photos of any of the actors.

I do agree with you though. I dislike 'using' actors who are popular and considered sexy, as marketing tools. Its a sad reality in the acting world I guess, but it must feel quite degrading for the actors to be used in that way.
You must have missed the twitter posts, "Here's a picture of Cain on Friday #JustBecause" and such but he always seems to be pushed to the front. I like him myself and he is a popular character, which I get, but with a cast so big - they could get round them all a bit more #justbecause I mean who wouldn't want a picture of Rodney? #JustBecause I don't know Cain seems to be rubbing me up the wrong way atm maybe he stepped up and made a decision in regards to the women in his life I would look at him in a much better light, the wuss!

Moira can't leave!?!?! I'd be devastated. Ok, she's not what she was, but I still love her.

Plus I'm pretty sure Natalie Robb said a few weeks ago that she had just renewed her contract, so hopefully that means she's safe.
Quoted for the devastating truth, if true.

I can't post proof somewhere like this forum, but I don't lack it, so believe what suits you, but I have received obviously read recordings of cast members being 'interviewed' by press office staff and typed press office releases of 'interviews'. As have DS and numerous others. Have you ever read those interviews on different publications? They're all the same.
Press depts in all organisations do that. They check and often heavily edit ANY articles or interviews with staff. I expect that you can take it as read that a media organisation like ITV exercises quite heavy control over actors' interviews and quotes but it happens to one degree or another in every organisation.

If you're an actor in Emmerdale, it must be pretty unsettling to read stories like that.

True, but sometimes I wonder if the actors even see what they've 'said' until it's out there.

i did. I can't be bothered with Twitter these days, and tbh I find that kind of 'just because' thing a wee bit silly. Not that I mind the odd gratuitous photo you undetstsnd but if that sort of thing's happening a lot, it comes across as shallow and, IMO demeaning to the actors and their fans.

I think Cain knows full well that Moira is the woman for him, but they do live in the Village of the Damned so I wouldn't hold out much hope for them

I bet they don't. Most interviews seem pretty mass produced. Not that Im cynical about the machinations of Press Offices or anything

Soz I still like Cain...but only when he is with Moira and treats her well. There are terms and conditions, my love isn't unconditional. Except for Moira

They really have. Moira's been on screen a lot but mostly as a bit player and the aneurysm story was very short lived and more about Charity than anyone else IMO. It better not be either of them who're facing the bullet. Im not a huge fan of Moira, but she is an interesting character and good actress and I quite like that Cain as well, as you may have noticed

Kate, has shown she listens to what is said on here.
Apart from the Spencers she has axed those who were hated on here when she took over - Dom, Gemma, Robbie and Katie
The spencers leave. I revealed this

It better not be Cain, Debbie, Chas, Moira or Aaron. Nor should it be Victoria, Adam, Alicia, David, Finn, Ross or Kerry.

Kate Oates if you're reading please kill off Jai. He is just so unlikeable these days. Megan has no real purpose either now.

Adam and Finn are pretty dispensable these days. As are Jai and Megan. And many others, including Tracey, James, Pete, Kirin, Harriett and Lawrence. Don't get me wrong, I like Harriett and love Lawrence, but they do sod all with them. John Bowe has been pretty much wasted as Lawrence and must be up for contract renewal.

The Spencers will be gone before summer I guess.

Personally, I wish Chas and Aaron would just die. That ain't never happening, but I can dream.

I wish they wouldn't do these mass slaughters, to be honest. Just give people a good story which leads to an exit if you want rid. But I guess they need something to keep people tuned in over the summer.

I hope they don't get rid of Finn or Victoria! Darren can burn to death all he likes though.

I'm not a fan of Darren either. Finn can do so much better. Always looks like he needs a shower and some new clothes.

Whilst I wouldn't miss some characters if they left, I wouldn't want Emmerdale to turn into Hollyoaks, with a stunt every year, killing off loads of characters. I think it is a shame if Emmerdale went down that route. Loads of stunts for the sake of it.

Same here. Surely I can't be the only one who isn't excited by this at all?

There are better ways of writing out some of your characters. Maybe it's pressure from the channels or the advertisers - Stunts or die! Who knows.

I'm not excited by the prospect of a big Hollyoaks style disaster but it makes sense that this was coming with all the new bit-characters that have joined the soap over the past year.

I am, however, excited at the prospect of getting rid of some characters that have really outstayed their welcome. Mind you, it'll probably be characters that I like and want to stay that they will get rid of. Just like Robbie.

I bet Vanessa is safe just because she serves no purpose.
