Any fans on Sam Fox here?

Whilst maybe not the best vocalist, she had some great tracks, and was huge around the world at her peak. She is perhaps my most guilty pleasure to listen to.

Her second eponymous album, for me, is her best work, the songs are all of a high standard, not cheesy or trashy, with ballads like 'True Devotion' and 'The Best Is Yet To Come', make it worth a listen.

It's a travesty that tracks like 'Love House' (especially the pyramid mix) from her third album and 'Another Woman' from her fourth and final album with Jive, weren't hits in the UK.

I remember a dance song she did in the late 90's called Santa Maria

That's a nice cover she did. The album '21st Century Fox' she also did around that time is worth a listen too. It's got some great tracks like 'Just A Dream' & 'Boundaries Of Love', but the whole album and it's singles went under the radar unfortunately.

I really would love to see her live, she's had a new album in the making for a few years now, but it seems to be in limbo for some time now!

Did anybody get the re issues of her first four albums a couple of years back? They're pretty comprehensive and some great mixes

I'm a big fan of Samantha Fox and got all the reissues and greatest hits a couple of years ago.

I Wanna Have Some Fun is actually one of my all time favourite albums, really great songs and production on there. I also really like That's What Love Can Do which was an unfinished Stock Aitken Waterman song that Matt Pop remixed.

My favourite songs include

I Surrender (To The Spirit of the Night)
I Only Wanna Be With You
Your House Or My House
Let Me Be Free
If Music Be The Food of Love
(Hurt Me! Hurt Me!) But The Pants Stay On
Another Woman (Too Many People)
That's What Love Can Do
One In A Miliion
Walking On Air
That Sensation
Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)

She did love a bracket, didn't she?!

There has been some talk of a DVD of all her videos which I'd love (think it was referred to as the Fox Box) but it's all gone quiet sadly.

Such a good selection of songs, they all sound so different to each other too!

Yeah I can't believe it's been I think 3/2 years since she spoke about the Fox Box Set! It said there would be some things that we've never heard, I wonder what tracks they are, I really hope her unreleased track 'When the Bell rings' would be included, only heard a snippet and it's really catchy, also hoping for her solo version of the track 'The Secret' will be released soon, as I've had to do a cut a paste job on the snippet of her chorus and the rest of the released verses!

IIRC the 12" of one of her singles was released with both tracks on one side as a "double groove" pressing and which track played depended on where the stylus dropped onto the record.

Still got this 12" limited edition with free poster. I was quite a collector back in the day.

True Devotion is such a lovey song, the 7" mix with the added bells really takes it to another level, shame it only got to about 52 in the charts! Would of showed a whole other side to the British public.
