I wouldn't axe characters that I dislike. Many people on here seem to dislike Max, Phil, Shirley, Sharon, Jane etc but they're all good characters and they will never get the axe.
Besides if someone on here axes people they dislike, it would be unprofessional. I think people need to leave if there is no purpose for them.

I agree. Although I dislike Phil, I would much rather return the character to how he was pre-2010 and bring back the Beale vs. Mitchell phase that seemed to have disappeared.

I know realistically Nancy would never be axed as she is DTC's creation but i can't stand these characters. They add nothing to the show for me as a viewer.

Dean Wicks - boring character whose continued presence in the Square is stifling too many other decent characters, also a very weak and one dimensional actor.
Alfie Moon - have always hated him as a cheeky chappie but utterly loathe him since the fire and his subsequent behaviour. Having him back as the heart and soul of the party and Kat's saviour is nonsensical.
Charlie Cotton and Roxy Mitchell - two characters ruined for the sake of an unnecessary affair. Is it really too much to ask to give Ronnie a bit of happiness for once? Even putting that aside, I really can't face a love triangle plot with these three.
Denny - is he a wimp or a bully? Either way, I think he's a very negative influence on Sharon as I just don't believe she'd have pampered a kid so much that he turns into this sort of monster.

I think people tend to go for characters that bore them rather than anything else. Phil can be a pain but he can be great viewing, unlike Max who has nothing to offer IMO.

Personally, I'd go for (in no particular order)
1. Shabnam
2. Babe
3. Big Mo
4. Donna
5. Les
Problem is, people will just want to axe characters they don't like, rather than characters who are surplus to requirements. I could easily pick 5 characters I dislike and want them axed but truth is, other viewers do like them and so long as they are relevant, they will stay.
