Sony announce the Xperia Z4
…but only in Japan. Looks, the same as, well as a Sony Zx phone. The camera sounds like they have stuck with the same disappointment as the 1, 2 &3. I wonder when we will see it?
Why release two flagships a year if you are not making real advances? Missing either the after the Z the Z2 was a decent advance and the same could be said for the Z4. So why the Z1 and Z3? The point is Sony are wasting valuable recourse to make these phones instead of concentrating on one hero device a year. Samsung have two teams who work on a flagship for alternate years – I wonder how thinly Sony are spreading themselves. http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_...news-11960.php |

Could have been tempted with this but where is the difference with the Z3? What am I missing?

I'm actually very seriously thinking about taking my first foray into the Android world by purchasing the Z3 or Z4. To be honest, the only thing that's putting me off just getting the Z3 right now (now I've seen the Z4) is the 16GB of onboard storage.
As far as I can see Sony have a great mix of near-stock Android, well built/designed hardware and fantastic battery life (super important). Does anyone have any insight on how much the newer processor in the Z4 will make up for the lower battery capacity? Do you think we'll still be on the same level as the Z3? |

This isn't the Z4. The real Z4 (I suppose Z5 now) will be quite different to the Z3/Z4 and will be released at the end of May.

2 days battery life, is great, my wife just switched to a z3 compact after using mine, she was used to charging her iphone every day, and stated doing the same with her z3 until I told her there's no need

You can put a 128 gig sd card in the z3.

One big difference I can see is I have read it will not have the "flaps", but a waterproof micro USB, interesting.
