Halestorm, who are they?
I occasionally look at the UK Top 40 albums and singles list on-line. I've always had an interest in the charts and even though I'm getting on a bit I like to look at the latest charts.
I notice that a band called Halestorm are number one in the album chart. A quick Google told me they're an American hard rock band. I've not heard of them at all and usually have a passing knowledge of who's around. How come they're number one? It seems a bit out of the usual from Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith dominating the chart? Anyone here who's a fan? |

Meeee!!
![]() Love Halestorm. Lizzy and her 18 feet legs .. heh. I don't usually follow the charts that much nowadays so I wasn't aware they were at number one but that's fantastic news for what is arguably their best album yet. |

I first saw them when they supported Shinedown in 2012 and I've seen them at least half-a-dozen times since.
They've got where they are today the somewhat old-fashioned way, by sheer hard work and constant touring, both headlining their own shows and supporting the likes of Alter Bridge. |

I'm a fan
![]() Into The Wildlife was number 1 in the midweeks, but dropped to number 10 at the end. Still, I think that's excellent considering how little attention and promotion (outside of all the hard work they do themselves) they get over here. To me, this album was more of a grower than the other two. But 'Scream', 'I Am The Fire' and 'The Reckoning' grabbed me from the first listen. Overall, I'd say it's as good as their self-titled first album, but The Strange Case Of is my favourite. One thing I don't see said about them often, is that they have some amazing mid-tempo, songs and ballads that are very much pop rock. With the right promotion, these could have done/could do extremely well as singles in the charts. Beautiful With You Bet You Wish You Had Me Back Break In The Reckoning What Sober Couldn't Say |

they are awesome. I agree getting to number 10 in the album chart with little or no marketing here is excellent news.
They very rarely feature on music TV (I'm talking Kerrang or Scuzz) which is a shame as I heard Freak Like Me on Kerrang and got hooked. It might also help that I like a nice pair of legs and Lzzy's are great. |

I think Lzzy's voice and attitude is the reason her fans are drawn to her rather than her legs.

"Love Bites" is alright, the rest of the stuff I've heard from them is not really to my taste.
