Back when Corrie was good...

Gail and Eileen fight in the street - 2004

Everything about this episode is GOLD. Not just the hilarious catfight - all throughout the episode the writing is excellent, the acting absolutely spot on and the plot completely engaging. Amazingly, neither Sarah nor Todd come across as the bad one here - in fact, I don't know who I feel more sorry for.

2002 - 2004 was really a brilliant time for Corrie.

Miss those days.

CLASSIC scene!

Fantastic mix of drama and humour.

This was around the same time as Mad Maya and the Karen/Steve/Tracy plot wasn't it?

It was a golden era of the show

Just goes to show what a bit of emotion and heartfelt drama can do. No twisted scheming, no explosions or car crashes, just a simple story which pulls the audience in and really tugs at their heart strings and gets them thinking.

Sarah sobbed throughout that entire episode, she really showed that really she was just a little girl who needed her mum. If that happened now she'd have been pulling revenge faces behind Todds back for months before ensuring a very public outing to a packed church on their wedding day.

That's the problem now with Corrie, there are no characters you feel emotionally connected to. Except Roy perhaps? The rest are like angry robots!
