Not now, but down the line.

I can't see the character Callum having much shelf life. Ewe can only be a pantomime 'HISS - BOO!' villain for so long.

Anyway, has David murdered before? I'm not sure. Cheers.

It would be good to see David batter Callum in self defence, leaving him for dead.

When the dead body is discovered it is assumed that Callum was killed by other drug dealers and the case closed.

David being David, feels no guilt or remorse and carries on happily with life for a number of years, til Jack P Shepherd needs to take a break, or leave, at which point Callums mother forces the case to be reopened and new evidence sees David in the frame, and his world fall apart.

Didn't Sean sign a new contract, possibly for a year? I don't think he's going anywhere soon.

Ooh, like this idea! As Nick has pointed out, David lacks moral fibre, so he could do this without so much as a backward glance.

We'll grow to love Callum (or so The Hat thinks) and then he'll die "tragically" due to some drug-related complication.

Kill Callum and either have it never found out or never established he did it and Sarah is either framed for it or driven to despair trying to prove David did it. Muhahahahaha

I don't know if you watch ED but a similar storyline was the making of Carl King.

I can't see how he can be loved after threatening to cut Andy's fingers off.

I don't see David, who is a long serving character becoming a killer. They might go down a repetitive route where he is suspected of a death, being Callum's or one Callum committed but not doing it himself.

Please, can I come with you? I would so like to leap out of a cupboard with a white sheet round me and a "scream" mask and frighten that gormless simpleton Michael to death.

Andy's own behaviour is questionable although because he's handsome and speaks in a quiet tone, it feels like we're supposed to ignore that (Steph does anyway). A lot of viewers seem to think Callum is a looker, so I'm sure Corrie will bank on that helping them to redeem him.

I understand what you're saying but I just feel that if he's going to stick around in the long term, they're going to make him more of a rounded character and I can see him becoming quite popular as a result.

Didn't watch Emmerdale then but when Carl was there I enjoyed him. I know he killed his dad

Yeah he accidentally killed the postman as well and covered it up, before both those deaths he was dull as dishwater!

IMO it was pretty refreshing to see a character commit a crime, for others to be privvy of his guilt, but for it to remain a secret for so many years!
