What was Dean doing before though? I think this storyline has given the character more development now he's not going to jail. (Not that rape adds character to a person). In soap land, the baddies tend to be either hit and miss, but Dean's lack of acknowledgment could perhaps lead to a storyline in itself. Maybe he has some kind of disorder or something that could be looked into, if he's not leaving.
I think Sharon's comeback was just dreadful. How she could marry Phil after his involvement in Dennis's death, it's like those 2003-2005 years didn't exist. And her storylines haven't been great, it's like they wanted her back but didn't know what to do with her, just keep her as a secondary character. I think she should have come back looking for her biological parents for her sons sake or something instead of falling into Phil's arms. Then Ian talks her into staying etc.
Also, Shirley keeps taking one step forward and two steps back and it's so frustrating. She's one of my favourite characters, but she just keeps going in circles... I suppose that might be realistic but it is annoying.
