I'm really digging Emmerdale lately. It's my favourite of the soaps at the moment, and I haven't watched it religiously since the Sadie King days. I'm enjoying the show a lot. 
Anyway, we're hearing rumours drip down about a big event that could see several characters killed off this summer, which whisperings say could echo the classic plane crash.
What has been rumoured:
- Big stunt
- Explosive
- Outside
- Several character deaths
- Possibly caused by a character
I think since it's outside, it'll be either Pete and Debbie's wedding, or perhaps at some sort of other village event like a fete. I thought I'd open up the discussion as to what this stunt could be, if it is even true, which it might not be of course.
Perhaps a helicopter crashes (by accident or having been tampered) into a marquee at the wedding, causing carnage.
Perhaps someone plants a bomb and detonates it, sending people flying. Perhaps a wedding or party coach is tampered with or is crashed carrying half the cast, exploding in a 200ft-high ball of fire. Perhaps some villainous character poisons all the food? Or perhaps a second plane crash in that unlucky village
There aren't many stunts that can be done outside, certainly not that kill a ton of people off (incidentally I only think 3 or 4 people will die, and not many huge names, more deadwood from the cast - they should be bold and kill about 8 though, again only deadwood and not much loved characters). It'll be interesting/novel to see a stunt happen outside, if that is indeed true.

I want the White family to perish, including (especially) Lachlan, leaving Robert the only one left to become King of Home Farm. Other than that, I wouldn't mind seeing Jai perish - he's too moody and rude.
