Well we don't know that for sure, Kate Oates might not want to spoil it. She did say there was a big story line that would involve all the characters, usually some big disaster is the only type of story that involves the entire cast.

There's a new spoiler video every week so there's plenty more summer storylines we don't know about yet.

Well it isn't reality. It's only imagination and speculation until something is confirmed of even hinted at. In soap PR 'explosive' can seldom be taken literally.

Wyezed also believed that Katie wasn't going to die because it hadn't been announced officially despite the fact many spoiler sites stated she will die.

Not exactly true. I knew she would die, but I didn't say so. I merely pointed out that there was no official statement or press release to that effect and those 'spoiler' sites were only speculating - which they were.

Definitely think it's going to be an explosion. Robert will die and be identified by his watch that can survive a nuclear blast. Unless he gives it to someone else and we will be left wondering who it is.
Maybe he gives it to Aaron and he dies! Wouldn't that be a turn up for the books?

The UK doesn't really have the weather system for a tornado. Heavy gales and storms, yes but a tornado really would be something of a 'jumping the shark' event.

Says it all. I guess there are some people who will believe something is COMPLETELY FALSE AND NOT GOING TO HAPPEN until it's OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED. Rumours don't exist to some people, only cold hard press releases.

The world doesn't work that way, and the media is defined by leaks. I personally find it slightly annoying when this sort of individual tries to shut down speculation on an internet discussion forum, but maybe that's just me.

Something is clearly happening and that tweet from Adam Thomas even further reinforces that.

I'm not sure Emmerdale would have the budget for the CGI effects required to do a tornado anyway.

I thought that when Chrissie said that in last nights episode, I bet it was a hint for something along the lines of an explosion!

Maybe Robert loses his watch and on the same day has a major barney with Chrissie/Aaron (or both); after the 'event' takes place they find his scorched watch and a pile of ashes and both believe their fair haired lover is dead Unbeknown to them Robert had already left the village and a few hours later returns to an incredulous Chrissie and Aaron. Chrissie, overwhelmed to see him, demands a divorce while his darling Aaron, tears streaming down his cheeks, punches him in the balls. But Robert's alive. Hooray!

It occurred to me especially after Lachlan said something about a motorbike and she replied saying that she wanted Robert alive.

Immediately I just thought, he's going to die.

That sounds perfectly conceivable. Although not as interesting without at least one person dying.

I did some research (google) and although they are highly unlikely there have been some in the UK.

I'm hoping the watch will be around Jai's wrist as it all goes off! If Jai survives and Robert pegs it I will never buy oven chips again

Hopefully involving James and Marlon.

Maybe Jai dies too, victim of a terrible inferno at the sweetie factory. Ends up as bonfire toffee.
