- Turns up at the home of her rapist after he's been let off for her rape. That looks good.
- Insists to be left alone with her rapist.
- Having sympathy for him and empathising with him.

Mick cares more than she does. Do you still care about Linda?

Yes I do. I thought she was incredibly brave to do that.

I'm sick to death of the story due to Mick ranting but I haven't lost my sympathy for Linda.

Do you know what I hated?

Bloody Mick throwing his weight around and ruining the entire point of the confrontation, just to assure that this stupid storyline goes on until the foreseeable so Dean doesn't have to leave.

I agree. It's Mick I have lost sympathy for not Linda. Linda was very brave to do the things the OP said.

I thought she was great tonight. I really enjoy Linda when she's interacting with anyone else other than Mick. When he barged in it ruined a potentially great scene between Linda and Dean.

If she can get psychologically into the mind of Dean to fess up, it will be very interesting.

Anyone who can face up to their rapist should be admired.

I haven't lost sympathy for Mick at all as I think that he only sees protecting L and he just reacts. However bursting in like that pissed me off somewhat.

Me too.

If I was Linda in that situation, I would have given the fool a great big backhander.

She has not got sympathy for Dean, she was just trying to get him to face up to his actions and take responsibility. It is the only way she can move forward and get some closure. It would take a great deal of courage to do that and so she deserves every sympathy. Even though she is the victim she is handling it a lot better Than Mick who really is the one who has gone to pieces.

😃😃

I'd have given him that too. But slightly different to your meaning. 😜

Dean is so horrendous though. I hope he dies soon.

She was brave to confront him the way she did. Mick's answer is violence and Dean's parents are (understandably) treating him like the victim.

I definitely haven't lost sympathy for Linda. This is something Dean did to her. She wants some sort of closure, but pressing charges fell through and her rapist is back in the neighborhood. I don't blame her one bit for pursuing a non-violent closure on her terms.

I can't stop feeling sorry for Mick either. He wants to help Linda, but can only do so much at this point. He feels massively guilty for not noticing Linda's pain and not preventing it. Who wouldn't feel awful about something horrible and violent happening to a loved one? I get it, and I feel for him. That said, Mick's timing sucks and he does have a habit of bulldozing Linda instead of listening to her.

I agree. I'm a little disgusted that DTC is trying to make us feel sorry for him with this prison storyline.

I think the last 2 eps have shown how horrible he is tbf. However it has shown how important it is to report rape immediately.

I haven't lost any sympathy for Linda at all. Mick annoyed me when he burst in just as Dean was about to confess to what he's done but I can completely understand why he wouldn't want Linda to be alone with him after what he's done to her. Shirley and Dean bother me so much, Shirley uses Dean to hurt Mick with, she turns into such a spiteful cow when Dean's around.

I'm a Matt Di Angelo fan but even I find this thread distasteful (and that's a mild choice of words!)
Linda is a VICTIM and is trying to muddle through her feelings and the grief of losing a family member, losing her rape case & watching her family implode. She's TRYING to find some peace with what happened to her. Why shouldn't she seek a confession from her attacker??
Honestly this thread is s sick joke!

Matt was on the EE set today so you won't get your wish anytime soon.
Can I just add, further to my previous post, that after the reveal at Xmas the rape sl has been written ATROCIOUSLY all round. It is true to say that the plot has gone endlessly round in circles and you can almost sense the reluctance to condemn Dean outright (mainly cos TPTB belatedly realised he was a popular character & don't know how to back out of this corner they've pushed him into).

Yes me too.

She needs some form of (god i hate this word) closure and since she won't get it from the courts, getting it from Dean himself is her only option. She knew he would never admit anything with witnesses there.
