Doctors Emotional/Sad Theme

Would anybody like to see Doctors introduce an emotional/sad theme similar to Julia's Theme on EastEnders?

Instead of showing a next time... clip at the end of the episode they could end it with a slow build up and then play the emotional theme into the normal closing credits.

I think this would suit Doctors down to the ground and would love to see it happen sometime in the future.

I don't watch any more, but when I did watch, I did think at the end of an emotional episode, the loud music suddenly starting and the 'Next episode' preview bit really spoils it.

I think they should just get rid of the 'next time' bit and have the closing music adapted to be a bit slower and not so jarring so it is suitable for all endings.

I like the 'next time' clip so I wouldn't want them to get rid of it just don't use it on an episode that is quite emotional and sad instead just play a saddened down version of the theme that play into the closing credits as normal.

Hard to imagine the Doctors theme as a sad one! But nice idea though.....it is possible.
EastEnders, Emmerdale and Crossroads did it...why not?
They've done everything else possible in their stories! x

It doesn't need to be the actual Doctors theme, it could be a brand new tune made up that is similar to the theme but not the same and make it very sad.

Never heard the crossroads sad theme but EastEnders and Emmerdale have used sad themes quite a lot in the past!

No. It wouldn't work.

EastEnders Julia's theme is a softer/piano tune that leads into the normal Theme Tune (Minus the Duff,Duff's) it simply wouldn't work for Doctors.

Doctors could just fade to black and then play a Piano tune/Song and remove the actual theme.

The Next time clips need to be removed. it spoils it for the next episode.
Previews work for Hour Long Drama's but not an Half hour,5 episodes weekly soap.

The idea of an episode fading to black and then a piano tune beginning is something I would quite like to see.

The next time clips give that feeling of excitement to an episode and IMO they need to stay. Also quite like it when they use a previously on Doctors if its an episode carrying on from the previous episodes action which is very rarely used.
