Presumably at some point. Nothing has been explicitly stated though.

She's probably a risk to the health of the other prisoners Badass Dot.

I'm sure DTC will find some way to let a murderer survive a trial. What will the excuse be this time? Lack of evidence? Self-defence? Assisted suicide?

Dot isn't a murderer

Exactly, it is not as if she injected Nick with the drugs and then left him to die when he was pleading for help, Nick took the drugs himself, yes Dot should of called an Ambulance but he would probably of being dead by the time it arrived anyway.

On the other hand though in Dot's mind she could be a serial killer after helping Ethel to die back in 2000, her and Jim struggled and pushed Joe Macer out of Pauline's bedroom window leading to his death, as well as her part in Nick's death and according to her Jim's death as payback for her role in Nick's demise. Dot is a killing machine.

I missed a few episodes a while back but has she been charged or what exactly is the legal situation with her, she seems to just be hanging out in prison.

Joe Macer's death was one of the worst stunts ever. He lightly tapped the window and it smashed. Dot didn't kill him, Jim pulled her off and Joe stumbled and fell.

God yes it was dreadful, he lightly falls back into the window and then suddenly is elevated and sucked out by an unknown force.

I must be going senile, I don't remember Joe dying at all. I thought he just left.

Yet had there been a fire instead, you can bet your ass no amount of beating a heavy object against that window would have even made a chip in the glass.
