But to give them their due, people in real life usually revert to type as well.

The problem is, that it gets much more annoying when watching this in a soap.

The cast is good these days, but it isn't used in the right way. Everyone is going round in circles and it's ridiculous. There's SO much that can be done with a character like Kat. Jessie Wallace is an outstanding actress and she deserves to play a leading role in the show, but no... Kat gets pissed 90% of the time and is horrible to pretty much everyone. WHAT A WASTE

John Yorke and Santer balanced issue led and sensationalism very well, it wasn't a documentary and it wasn't Hollyoaks, it was EastEnders.”

I agree with these three points, I miss Simon as a writer and DTC isn't in the same league as Santer.

I agree about Kat as well, except she's leaving soon so he's probably just trying to wrap her character up now.

She's coming back though.

It's down entirely to EE becoming the tedious Carter show.

I don't think she is to be honest.

And I meant to say in my previous post DTC isn't in the same league as Santer or John Yorke. Yorke was brilliant.

Can anyone defend this rape storyline anymore? it's slowly wrecking everyone involved like some have pointed out, then you have this huge funeral and story around it for a 10 minute character, I liked Stan but by the end of it I was like "just hurry up" not because of Stan himself but the other Carters.

Really bored with EE the last month or so, Carter overload.

EE need to be carefull, its neck and neck with corrie but Blackburn isn't going to be around too much longer, itv will be looking for a decent producer to take over which means the best writers will end up there as well.
