Especially if they had him sharing scenes with Ian Beale.

Well, I for one don't mind if an actor returns to play a different character. Especially a child actor who now looks much different from he used to. Only problem is I would rather an actor that A looked like the rest of the Carter family and B was actually gay in real life.
I wouldn't "do" anything, since it's beyond my control. It is, however, a ridiculous idea. With Ben Hardy filming the new X-Men film and potentially moving onto bigger things, I wouldn't be opposed to Thomas Law picking up the baton again. It's worth remembering that the role of Peter Beale has been recast several times now (although the first few were played by children). Plus Thomas had a longer run than Ben.
As has been mentioned above, it would look so awkward if he came in as Johnny Carter and shared scenes with Ian Beale. Look at how some people picked up on the weirdness of Fatboy interacting with Claudette, having shared scenes with the actress when she was Grace Olubunmi.
Why would he return as Johnny anyway, when Peter is a vacant role? One that he has acted in before AND possibly returning with Lauren.
If they want to bring Johnny back it seems probable that they'll go with a recast.

Although I think Thomas Law is a better actor than Ben Hardy I don't think he's hot at all and would rather see someone with good looks take the lead again. Purely because the Peter I knew was played by Ben Hardy and I think it would be weird if an ugly guy was cast.

I think Thomas and Ben are as bad as one another. Both wooden and lifeless.
If he's brought back it'll be as Peter or be left until years later where people can see him as another character and a minor one at that.

I actually thought Thomas Law and Sam Strike had a similar quality. I thought Sam should of taken over from Thomas as Peter as their more alike than Thomas and Ben Hardy. Ben didn't have the softness like Thomas had.

I say this as a straight male but if Thomas Law is considered ugly then there is no hope for the rest of us!
Also hasn't Thomas done modelling work as well, facially I think he's better looking he just doesn't live in the gym like Ben.

Ben looked more grown up than Thomas. Thomas is not ugly in the slightest but seemed too childish in the role imo.

There was a 3 year gap between Thomas leaving and Ben arriving and Ben is 2 years older than Peter is supposed to be which gave him a mature vibe.

Colette Mann in neighbours played Cheryl Stark whilst Caroline Gillmer was of sick for several weeks, and has since returned as a different character, the original Scott Robinson played by Darius Perkins has played another character in neighbours, and in EastEnders Ellen thomas has played Grace Olubunmi and is now in as Claudette.
