do any smart tv's support flash player so you can watch videos online ?
just got an lg tv but did not know you cant watch stuff

luckily my tv is faulty so i can get a replacement or maybe not bother with a smart one at all.
when i connected pc to tv it was a beautiful picture anyway so smart tv's seem pointless if you have a computer (all those apps i get with roku streaming player anyway)

my lg tv was a ultra 4k hd one but i can get a 3d samsung smart one for 200 quid less and the same size (seeing as 4k has not really arrived yet)

my lg was 900hz and the samsung one is 600hz...is there much difference in quality ?

Not entirely sure I have seen any Smart TV that can handle Flash. Probably because most Smart TVs have apps to handle a selection of video streaming services so the manufacturers probably don't deem it necessary to include Flash.

The number of Hz a TV boasts about in the spec is absolutely no indicator whatsoever of quality. The number is probably made up anyway! The quality of the display panel and how well it is calibrated probably have more effect than bragging about "my telly has more Hz than your telly"

was a shame cause the bloody picture was jaw dropping on the lg one (watched the new hobbit on sbohd (but i think i will be better off hopefully with a samsung one)
fault was after a while you get flickering lines and when you turned off the red display would flash and turn tv back on again
hopefully will still be great and will get a 3d blu ray player.
yeah the smart bit is pointless really unless you do not own a computer and the new one will still be 55' so the quality should still be fine.

It's impossible now to buy a Samsung TV of any quality that isn't a Smart TV.

If you whittle down the range of 60-odd flatscreen TVs to just those models without smart features then you're looking at just five products.... Three low-res LEDs from 19" to 32", and then a couple of even lower res plasmas (1024x768!!) at 43" and 51". 'Smart' is now pretty much a standard feature on every Samsung TV above the very very lowest quality product.

Of course, whether you use those features or go with an external device that is far less likely to go out of date or try to herd you through a content portal is entirely up to you.

Luckily not on my Samsung 48-Inch H6240 which has been fine.
My TFT was swapped a few days later lucky it was still very new.

Yes - LG. I'm surprised to hear yours doesn't. I had their entry level smart TV (returned because of excessive dirty screen effect btw), the LG 42LB580V and the browser played most online content with no problems.

If you think LG are bad you want to try Sony. DREADFUL! Their browser doesn't support Flash or HTML5 so watching any online video content is impossible, and more often than not visiting any sites that have the odd photo makes it crash.
