I can't stand Carol in EastEnders. The way she shouts at everyone all the time, thinking she's better than everyone else, and the constant tone of voice she uses.

I think she is a very good character played by an excellent actress.

I do. One of the most talented actresses on the whole show IMO. The problem is that the writers don't let her show off her range. I'd like to see her do something where she isn't miserable for once.

Lindsey Coulson is right up there with the Linda Henrys, Dianes Parishes and Kellie Brights as far as acting goes.

I'm not bothered about her one way or the other. I think Lynsey Coulson is an excellent actress but I agree that Carol as a character is rather a misery. She's in need of a new storyline, perhaps a foreign toyboy?

I don't like that they seem to have forgotten that she was not the best parent in the world when Bianca was a teen.

I love the actress, it's just the way she plays Carol, or how EE want her to play the character. I would love it if Carol's happy side was explored a bit more.

I adore Carol and always have. Lindsey is one of the best actresses on the show and always delivers. Carol isn't the most likeable character on the show but then I don't watch television shows so I can watch characters be nice and have no flaws.

I really like Carol, the actress is very good. I too would like to see her happier

Lindsey Coulson is a good actress, but I'm not that fond of Carol as s a character. I would like to see them link her with Billy again though, the pairing was quite fun.

I like carol, they need to give her better storylines tho. Or there going to deft lose the actress,

She's played by a good actress but I often find myself indifferent to her plight because she loves misery. When it's suited her she's turned her back on her own kids for years on end, at least the girls. There's never any surprises from Corol....she turns positives into negatives every single time, so you know it's coming.

I think they should bring April back and her family as this would bolster Carol & Max.

They need to save Carol's drama to the really meaty stuff, rather than the miserable. There are YouTube clips of her 1999 storyline when she found out about Bianca's affair with Dan Sullivan. It was one her best performances on the show.

But she definitely needs some funnier or lighter moments stuff as well.

She is miserable but I think she's fantastic.

Linday is a wonderful actress too.

Carol is one of those characters who is underrated if anything.

I like her. Yes, she's often miserable and can be nasty when bitter or hurt (like when she drove Ricky away because she was upset about David) but that makes her multi layered and she's had a hard life. She's made a lot of mistakes but generally rolls her sleeves up and gets on with it to do the best for her famiy rather than expecting the world to owe her a living.

She can be overly fond of playing the martry but i think she has necessary had to put her own needs last so much that it has become second nature now and she doesn't know how to break the cycle. When she has gone for her own happiness, it has generally gone horribly wrong - like with Dan.

Re turning her back on her children. Bianca, i do kind of understand after the Dan business. Bianca was a grown woman who had made her own decisions. Sonia is much harder to forgive, she really did nothing wrong and fact is it wouldn't have happened (carol not supporting her) except coulson had left the show and they wanted to keep Sonia in. That doesn't mean we can wipe it from history, it did happen but it was out of character.

I also do think that Coulson is the best actress in the show.

I personally prefer Di Parish and Linda Henry to Lindsey Coulson but that is just preference and I'm not denying that Lindsey Coulson is a strong actress. I would say they were three of the best in the show.

I think Lindsey, Jessie Wallace and Diane Parish are the top three actresses but I think Lindsey is the one everybody agrees on.

I like her. In the hands of a weaker actress, Carol would probably come across as a one dimensional character but Lindsey really adds nuance to it. Anyone who's had Carol's life would be miserable.

I disagree totally. Lindsey is fantastic. You actually forget she's acting. Even the smallest of scenes are perfect. BAFTA said she is a class above the rest and they are right.

Loved Lindsey and I Love the character of Carol. It will be a Sad day when she leaves again.
