What music have you discovered by hearing the words on a TV show (as in an acted TV show, not a talk show, music show et al) or seen performed on it

Just found this mighty fine track from watching the DVDs from the show NUMB3RS

Deccatree - Tonight

There was a programme on BBC Three called Invasion of The Job Snatchers and there was a song by Lorde that I discovered.

If it wasn't for that montage of the Torch Relay during the London 2012 Opening Ceremony, I wouldn't have David Holmes' I Heard Wonders on my iPhone.

Milo Greene - What's the Matter from looking at the comments, pretty much everyone found this song via an episode of Supernatural.

All 8 seasons of Scrubs had an unbelievably good soundtrack, and I've picked up so many songs from watching it. Every song just seemed to fit the moment perfectly. "Winter" by Joshua Radin during Ben's funeral is probably the best example.

Apparat - Goodbye
Black - Danger Mouse and Norah Jones

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlYKoD_O3UU"Freestyle" Y "Tamacun"

and The Sopranos over the years.

I'm Not Like Anybody Else - The KInks

I know there are more but i can't think of them for the moment

Here With Me - Dido: theme from Roswell TV show
Run Boy Run - Woodkid. I'm obsessed with this track. I guarantee you've heard it. It's used regularly in loads of ads and promos, most recently (AFAIA) in the Spike TV channel and Cancer UK ads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eje2r90MkGE
Teardrop - Massive Attack: videogame ad

Yes, yes, yes to Scrubs. Its use of music to fit a certain mood or scene was incredible. By far the best I've seen in a TV show. It reminded me of some greats I'd forgotten, such as Respect, Poison, Everybody's Changing, Reach For The Sun and the awesome How To Save A Life (come on, who didn't shed a tear at that. ), but in terms of discovering new music, I'll add:
Winter - Josh Radin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHlf08yTPiU
Waiting For My Real Life To Begin & Overkill - Colin Hay
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4tcRlHY-3Q ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj2CD5xgpNY
Book Of Love - Peter Gabriel (the 'final' song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l08l33kaJDQ

Ray Donovan always has great music on the soundtrack.

eg Kendra Morris - Banshee

Have to say it must be the best job in the world to be a music supervisor for films and TV.
