I'm tempted to swear. A lot.
Which numbskull thought up this? Which numbsull thought that this was a good idea and passed it? Whoever you are you want sacking, NOW because you've lost the bloody plot.
Can't agree more with the two posts above. It is absolutely BEYOND stupid and no I don't have to see how it plays out to judge (before anyone says that). OTT theatrics which add absolutely nothing to the storyline except make Shirley look like an even bigger arse than she already is.
But, lest we forget, Shirley sob-storied Mick into persuading his wife to put her name there. If Linda had had any sense and wasn't so desperate to please Mick she'd have told him where to eff off as THEY paid for the Vic, Shirley only got her name on the licence (and a share of the pub?) because she emotionally blackmailed her son into it. Oh she was all for it then but now she wants out? With no doubt a hefty cheque following? They should tell her to eff off
Honestly, if I was a mega Shirley fan (like some on here and elsewhere) I would be
livid at what they're doing to her. How the hell is the character supposed to come back from this? Drunken tears and a few sorry's? Might work on Linda and Mick but some viewers will find it harder to forget and God knows they already have plenty to chuck at the character!
