after reading all of the negative comments on here about ee and how it's so boring to watch, it's Carter over drive so on and so on, I finally caught up with the last 2 weeks today and I must say, I seriously don't understand the problem at all, granted it's not full of extreme drama, it's much calmer but it's very watchable. The only thing I have to moan about and that's mick Carter, I love all of them but he is currently dragging them down and he needs to sort his issues out. Overal eastenders is perfectly fine with lots of drama on its way.

This X 100

Everyone was like Praise DTC he has saved EastEnders then one day i come on DS and everyone suddenly hates the Carters and hates him.... I too am fed up with the Carters at the moment but other storylines are very good such as Kathy's return, Jim's Death, Dot in Jail, Ronnies Recovery, Etc.......

Think the problem was that the show was never as bad as previously made out, nor was this producer as good as he was made out to be

I hadn't watched it for a while and was expecting it to be awful reading the posts on here. Turned it on and it was good. Tried watching Corrie again as well but it remains unwatchable. Emmerdale is my favourite at the moment I have to say.

It's not that bad. We get some excellent episodes...tonight is an example of that. I have no problem with the Carters, but admit that I want to see an end of the rape s/l now.

I'm not personally enjoying it atm, I want a break from the Carters and some balance with other characters getting a chance that is the problem imo.

It's been great this week because it finally feels like an ensemble again and actual interesting things are happening. The Brannings have been going toe to toe with the Carters, and we've had great little subplots amongst it all with Kim, Ronnie, Phil, Max, Dot, Cora etc.

The problem with the Carters in the last few months (okay, it's a bit longer than that for some people - but the real issues didn't really hit until February this year for many) is that they were going round in circles and taking up all the screen time. Because this week they've had a bit more balance with the rest of the cast, it's easier to stomach.

Once the rape storyline is over I'm sure they'll take a back seat.

I do too, even now. I do agree that he's doing in circles now, though, and I hope this story gets moving again soon.

But for how long will it still run

The other good thing is that upcoming stuff is really starting to line up now. We know for a fact that he have huge stuff coming up for Ian, Jane, Phil, Sharon, Kathy, Ben, Ronnie, Kat, Alfie, Stacey, Shabnam, Vincent, Ronnie and Kim. If we know we've got all of that to come then we can keep our faith.

It's the rape storyline that's causing this. It would be weird if Mick didnt lose it but there's too much stopping and starting.

I have to disagree, dtc has done wonders for the show and because he has done such a wonderful job people expected it to always remain outstanding but even though it hasn't been bad it just hasn't remains outstanding but never bad like people express

Now I'm no fan of Corrie but I do tend to watch it just to see what it's like but nothing about it makes me want to come back

its AWFUL!!!!! seriously the dip from live week has been unprecedented .
The Carters are DREADFUL then again i have always found them over rated and dull, yet we are being force fed them more than ever.
The scenes with richard blackwood are cringeworthy.
And Shabnam and her boring lover, who cares?!

literally looking forward to one thing and thing only and thats Kathy's return, very clever of the producer to throw that one in there on live week, cos there is sod all else to look forward to.

Just the rape stuff dragging it back it's boring and utter garbage now, the Branning scenes tonight stole the show big time.

I totally disagree with most of it, no way is eastenders awful in the slightest, granted it has taken a Dip since anniversary week, that week need to live up to the hype, Richard Blackwood is intriguing and looking forward to more of him, the carters are not boring or in any particular way or form (my opinion) just that the rape has taken centre stage and taken over. I'm not too bothered of kush and shabs relationship but it's interesting to see how she deals with it and kush is decent.

The rape is kind dragging out a bit now, hopefully not long till Shirley finds out the truth and dean gets his comeuppance like it's been promised. The brannings are one family that never disappoints.
