He possibly starts abusing Beth. Jane is desperate for any excuse whereas Kathy cottons on quickly to the little psycho.
Speaking of Kathy, I get the feeling the amount of screentime she's going to get will make the current Carter prominence pale in comparison. I'm dreading it already.

Mulgrew is his accomplice. He won't do away with her just yet. He needs her to fall back on. Although I agree that Kathy could be getting it. Kathy being alive might unsettle him. I think he'll lock her in his room where nobody will know she's alive and then feed her impure heroin. But it won't be his fault because he wouldn't have known The heroin would kill her.
