Babe deliberately didnt tell Sylvie that her ex-husband died until after the funeral, and the way in which she did it was completely callous and insensitive. Just casually announced it to her with a big cheesy grin on her face.

Literally what is wrong with this woman? She is such a FREAK.

Easily the best Carter, shame she doesn't get more screen time. Twisted but brilliant.
She was pretty creepy in that scene.

She's a horrible character and the actress needs to speak up and have better diction - in some scenes I can't understand a word she says!

Getting back to the point, she may have already told her about Stan. Her condition means that she doesn't remember much of the here and now - my grandad had to be told almost every day for a year that my nan had died 15 years previously.

But yes, the grin was nasty.

Babe is awful, an awful person. But a brilliant character! And Sylvie, although a terrible mother and absolutely awful to Shirley, is also a brilliant character. Can't wait to see more of them.

it sounds awful but i laughed when she stold Sylvie about Stan :O

it was just the ways she went "Stans Dead" like if i was telling someone "oh and i got some bread while i was out"

I get what you mean. It was funny in the sense that its hard to believe someone can be so downright nasty - she was SO casual about it

I don't like Sylvie but that was pure evil on Babe's part.

It was kind of funny in that it was so blunt and a bit shocking that she could casually say it with such glee.

Excellent scene. Understated yet powerful. This is the kind of stuff I love to watch!

Yes, Babe said previously that she told Silvie about Stan, and that Silvie was terribly upset but then had forgotten all about it a few minutes later.

I think the point of last night's scene was to hint / show that Babe is abusing Silvie; I don't know if physically, I think probably some kind of mental cruelty, but Babe is definitely weird, I think it's going to get dark.

Would not surprise me if Poisonous Babe is emotionally/psychologically abusing Silvie.

Things are going to get a lot worse

I think you're absilutely right. Babe is definitely abusing Sylvie in a mental capacity.

IMO Sylive has always had the upper hand on Babe. She had the looks, the confidence, the man and the family that Babe always wanted. Now she is completely reliant on Babe, and I think Babe loves that for the first time in her life, she is completely in control of someone she once despised.

Yeah, that is exactly it, nail on head.

Tonight is going to get very dark between the two sisters.

It's weird, Annette Badland who plays Babe is so good in this role that she is totally unrecognisable from her other roles : Ursula - Wizards vs Aliens,
Hollow Dora/Doomsday Dora - The Sparticle Mystery and she played a baddie in Doctor Who which was still so different to Babe.

Annette Badland is one of my all time favourite actors.

It's the slitheen in her.

I find her pointless, but when she's evil, she's great to watch.

Yes it was very creepy, it is as if Babe wanted to hurt Sylvie by telling her that Stan had died, l can just imagine her telling her every day just to cause her more pain. She really is a very bitter person, l though that she hated Stan when all along she loved him but he hated her, talk about a love triangle.

Babe certainly is a fascinating character. She was well creepy kissing Stan at he funeral parlour.

Babe reminded me of Annie Wilkes aka Kathy Bates in Misery a bit last night. I felt scared for Sylvie.

Babe is poisonous, but the character is played amazingly well. It's interesting to have a character that isn't a villain, just downright vile. There's very few characters in soap that are genuinely disgusting, so it's a good move for Eastenders. I think there's going to be the reveal of a serious mental abuse storyline soon between Babe and Sylvie.

Anybody else notice Babe playing Mick and Shirley off of each over last night?

I didn't like Babe to begin with, I thought she was too phony and the whole dotty old Aunt bearing trifle thing was just random 'comedic' characterization.

But of course, that's exactly it - she is a phony - and we know now she is very manipulative too, which is why she is becoming really rather intriguing...

So I agree with you. And the actress is superb.

BIB She's been trying to split them up for a while now Aaron. When Shirley went on the run she deliberately didn't tell her that it was safe to come home. When we first met her she was trying to persuade Shirley to forget Mick and concentrate on her other children.
