Juat watching the last one now. It's a shame it's going, yet understandable. That's all.

I think they should replace the omnibus, with old Eastenders starting from the very first episode. I would watch it because I wasn't even born when Eastenders started and it's very annoying when they make references to people and things from much earlier episodes and I don't have a clue who or what they are on about.

I would be on board with that there's so many episodes/storylines I want to see again - Id record them though as that time slot is too late for me

I agree about it being put back on on a Sunday. But with IPlayer and the like, I guess it's not needed anymore!

Now this means from Monday viewers can only catch up with EastEnders when it on, at 22:30 on BBC Three. BBC Iplayer or recorded when ever you want to watch.

Didn't the omnibus also used to get aired on BBC3 many years ago, with the announcement that BBC three will be staying until 2016.

Wouldn't it have been nice if they should the omnibus on a Sunday evening

It is not feasible (or reasonable) in the modern era of catch-up and so many channels for the same episodes of EastEnders to be shown twice a week on BBC1 (even if in omnibus format). That said, I would rather have the omnibus on at the weekend rather than, say, Bargain Hunt.

BBC3 is going too. I often watch Eastenders late episode as I watch both Hollyoaks eps then watch Emmerdale on plus1. I think the BBC should put the omnibus back on a Sunday. Yes I know there's iplayer but that uses up my pay as you go. I used to relax on a Sunday with a roast and EE and really enjoyed it.

But by the time that BBC three has gone as a broadcast channel (if indeed the BBC Trust gives the go-ahead), then BBC one +1 should be available

It was handy when I'm on holiday because I just used to record that instead of separate episodes.

It mustn't be getting the ratings now unfortunately.

Damn, I only watch the Omnibus, usually weeks after the episodes have aired. I've only just watched the one where Ian tells Sharon she's a rubbish mum after Denny smacks her. Better hurry up and finish the rest then.

I don't know why it couldn't of stayed in its midnight slot on a Friday what are they going to show instead a film or another stream of the bbc news channel.

Especially if bbc3 closes there won't be any repeats of ee. Blimey how many times does cs and ed get shown on itv2.

Or a Saturday or Sunday morning on bbc2. There is a lot of sport in the afternoons so it would just keep getting moved about if it was on in the afternoon?

Not everyone likes watching TV on a computer or has sufficient broadband etc for iplayer

I think I saw on here it got 425k this Friday. For a show at midnight that is pretty good. Not sure if that is typical of a week does anyone know ?
