Your Favourite EastEnders Character - 10th Anniversary Edition (Round 5, Top 10)
Epic round guys, the ups and downs were crazy, nearly every vote changed the make up of our top ten! It all came down to just a few votes, and in the end, one character, who'd never been out of the top ten for the entirety of the voting, slipped out to 11th by ONE point!
Now, I won't reveal the placings at this stage to keep an air of mystery about the future rounds, but you may guess to your heart's content... ![]() Round Four Results 1st // XXXX – 72.4% 2nd // XXXX – 63.8% 3rd // XXXX – 62.7% 4th // XXXX – 61.0% 5th // XXXX – 60.0% 6th // XXXX – 57.9% 7th // XXXX – 55.8% 8th // XXXX – 53.3% 9th // XXXX – 50.1% 10th // XXXX – 49.9% ------------------------------- 11th // Phil Mitchell – 49.8% 12th // Carol Jackson – 49.4% 13th // Frank Butcher – 47.1% 14th // Max Branning – 46.1% 15th // Kat Moon – 42.6% 16th // Dennis Rickman – 39.5% 17th // Peggy Mitchell – 37.1% 18th // Jean Slater – 36.3% In 18th place, (sausage) surprise! It's 2011 champion Jean Slater. Always a steady favourite in the annual tournament in her day, she proved extremely popular even now and though finishing bottom of the pack, 18th out of 220 is not too shabby! At 17th, ger outta ma pub! It's Peggy Mitchell! A true marmite character on DS, she has her detractors but still clearly a hell of a lot of fans to place her so high. Never a winner with us but always done well for herself. The bottom three here changed places constantly, so their popularity I'd say is pretty equal. In at 16th, has it really been ten years since the Watts saga came to an explosive conclusion? In December a whole decade will have passed since Danny Moon fatally stabbed our favourite bad boy, and clearly you lot don't forget how you loved him back then. Incidentally, these three were the only ones from the top 18 to receive no top placings from voters. At 15th, the quintessential tart-with-a-heart (cum general misery guts) Kathleen Slater Moon. Receiving four top rankings and showing her fan base is still going strong, Kat has always done rather well here and this year is no different. In at 14, it's the ultimate player Max Branning. It's a funny one with Max, while he has an almost clean record of making it this far each year, he also falls at roughly the same positions each time, mostly in an annual round voting for the least favourite from the remaining finalists. Never-the-less, Max still received one top ranking this week and remains hugely popular. Taking thirteenth position, and looking down on you pilchards for not ranking him higher, we have my personal all-time favourite male Frank Butcher. Eligible for this series via a brief stint at the end of 2005, his ranking is very much based on his fantastic legacy. Part of the top ten for the first half of the voting, he slipped down the pack later in the week and unfortunately couldn't climb back up again. Receiving one top ranking, and still beloved, delighted with this placing. It was such a close race, wow, it was anyone's game and four characters were constantly changing. It's just bad luck that the timing of the close of voting means 12th place must go to 2014 winner Carol Jackson. Seven points could've got her a place in the top ten. Crazy close. Meanwhile, the runner-up to Carol last year still rides high... Lastly, and missing out by just ONE point, it's a massive exit for the Square's most iconic hardman Phil Mitchell. He was in the top ten for almost all of the voting, but consistently middling placings did him no favours as bigger favourites began to take over, despite receiving two top rankings himself. Phil's never won YFEEC but always done reasonably well, so it's a surprise to see him go now. So we've narrowed it down to your top ten. At this stage, we usually ask you to name your least favourites of those left but I'm feeling in an ultra-positive mood, so we're ditching that this year and trying something very different, new and exciting. Now, stay with me here - This week you are allocated twenty points. What you do with those twenty points is up to you. You could give two points evenly to every character, you could give 10 points to character X, 7 to character Y and 3 to character Z, or you could just give all twenty points to your overall favourite. However you wish to vote, it's completely your choice. This has never been tried before (possibly with good reason) but it could throw up the most unpredictable set of results we've ever had, and I am all too ready for that ![]() Round Five Ian Beale Dot Branning Stacey Branning Janine Butcher Pat Evans Denise Fox Grant Mitchell Ronnie Mitchell Sharon Mitchell David Wicks You have 20 points. You may allocate them as you wish. For example, 15 to Kathy, 3 to Den, and 1 each to Pauline and Arthur. The combination and how many you decide to give your points to is entirely your choice, you could give them out to all ten or hand all twenty points just to your favourite. Vote carefully, as this is the quarter-final, it makes a BIG difference. Voting will close Wednesday 29th April. |

Oh, wow ! What a great idea.
Stacey Branning - 10 points Janine Butcher - 3 points Pat Evans - 2 points Denise Fox - 5 points I've surprised myself with putting Denise above Janine and Pat this time. It's a little bit tactical, though, I think she's going to need the help |
