Hi all,

I've got some data here which I thought I'd post. I may make this a monthly thing if you guys want me to.

Basically I'm able to get access to a lot of data and so have complied it to show monthly worldwide sell through to end users based on Smartphone vendor brand.

This worldwide smartphone tracker counts sales to end users per month for the top 10 smartphone manufacturers and displays it in an easy to read format. The tracker uses publicly available information, non-publicly available information and estimates from Gartner, Gfk, IDC, Strategy Analytics and IHS iSuppli in order to come to an accurate sell through number. This tracker will never be 100% accurate but aims to have a maximum error margin of 10% each way for each manufacturer.

Handset sales from 297 manufacturers in 181 countries are tracked alongside an additional 1,000+ data points in order to estimate total sell through worldwide. I first started tracking worldwide sell through at the end of Q2 2014 but do have historical data points that will be shared later in mini reports.

The top 10 manufacturers tracked in this report are Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, LG, Lenovo (excluding Motorola), TCL/Alcatel, ZTE, Coolpad, Microsoft and Sony. All additional manufacturers are tracked under the "Other" column. March sales will be released at the end of May, April sales at the end of June and so on.

Terms used:
Sell through to end user- Branded, finished, new products sold directly to end users or leased for the first time during the month in question. Products distributed by manufacturers into a country or region (“sell in”) — but not connected to networks in that region — are excluded. Conversely, products sold by a manufacturer to a distributor in one region but sold by that distributor in another region are counted as sales (“sell through”) to end users in the latter region.

They're not in the top 10.
I'm quite surprised by that, but I guess it's worldwide (if it was just the UK I'm sure they would be in there).

Wonder if they have the same data for the UK and America etc?
