Looks as though going by Telly Spy that some of the shortlists for this year's British Soap Awards are going to be........odd.

Snubs possible?

I have this horrid feeling EastEnders is probably related here.

This is just one person's opinion of who is deserving and who would constitute a snub though.

Same for me. I can stomach everything else as long as Adam makes it.

Adam Woodyatt has been outstanding and i'd be very annoyed if he's not short listed.

EastEnders LIVE deserves best single episode too

Yeah that was all over Twitter last week too.

It's just the shortlist of the Best Actor and Actress we don't know.

Kathy Come Home should win 'Scene of the year' it had people talking but not only that it left a nation going

I would've liked to have had Carla's miscarriage scene in the dramatic performance category for corrie rather than Steve. Loved Rob's confession episode, him and Alison King were brilliant. Corrie will be lucky if they win anything this year, Blackburn needs to go fast

I'm part of the nation and the effect it had on me was to make me laugh and be glad I no longer watch EE. If I had not already stopped watching it I would have done so from that point onwards.

I don't see why. We don't know the story of which she returns. The scene however had people taking across the net and at work everything was talking about it. Most positive and plenty of people being shocked.

That's interesting. Over the last few years I've found the awards have become more and more unpredictable, I just hope Adam Woodyatt makes it.

I think they added that because it was Anne's last scene.

Biggest surprise is Verity Rushworth not making it into the Best Actress final five. And there are no nominations whatsoever for Danny Miller.

That was her last ever scene.

Apparently the snub was Mimi Keene, but we knew that already.

I think the shortlist is pretty fair myself.

I think people vote for more recent storylines as they are fresh in the memory. Hence Natalie Anderson gets in over Verity. So happy for Natalie though. Get voting .

It was a nice, funny scene, but not the scene of the year and if it wins, I think it will be more out of sympathy, which is unfair IMO.

I'm guessing Mimi Keene was too old to be included in Best Dramatic Young Performance.

Looking at that list I really can't be arsed voting (though I only watch Corrie)

I'm gobsmacked that Callum Logan/Sean Ward has been nominated for best villain and best newcomer. I know Corrie are pretty low on decent contenders for both those categories but seriously?! I would have loved to have had Gandy nominated in either of these categories.

Happy about Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine being nominated though! Probably one of the only decent things left in Corrie now.
