I'd rather he remained an interviewer than had Nick take over. I love Nick, but purely for comedy purposes. If Nick was to remain involved, I'd rather that he take over from Dara as host of You're Fired!”

Nope, I don't see why Claude can't carry on interviewing whilst being an advisor. In fact I do like that idea as he was a really good interviewer in my opinion even if he was a bit unnecessary in his reactions at times.

I think they'd rather the interviewers have now knowledge of the tasks which might make them biased. If he has preconceived notions of people from their previous performances it would effect the interview.

This would only serve to work in the candidates favour though - he'd be a little softer on them. But that's just my thoughts, I don't see it as a negative -depends on how they want to play it.

The interviewers aren't kept completely in the dark about the tasks. In Series 7, Margaret said as soon as Helen came in, 'Well, you've achieved a rather amazing record in this process, haven't you?' They must at least know their stats. Or perhaps Helen was the exception, as her stats were so unusual.

They even seem to get the exact sales figures, as evidenced last year when Daniel's "I'm the top salesman if you ignore Week 8" argument got shot down by the interviewer.

I see the series is starting tonight but I gave up watching it ages ago apart from You're Fired and the interview episode. The latter was solely because of Claude.

I hope they find someone decent to replace him. It'll be interesting to see how good a job Nick does if he takes on the role. He has been quite feisty in the Boardroom from what I remember.

Who says Claude can't still do it? It was done back in Series 1, with Nick as an interviewer and also an advisor. Given that it has never happened since then it is admittedly unlikely, but not completely beyond the bounds of possibility.

If they choose Nick, I hope he does a decent job and hasn't been chosen simply because he's a familiar face. I thought Margaret was a dreadful interviewer.

I find the interview stage an anti climax, the candidates probably spend at least half an hour minimum with each interviewer but we only get snip bits from each interview so makes the Interviewer look quite hostile in the questioning, i remember one scene the interview was hostile but the candidate said nice man after coming out of the interview.

We saw some quite positive things from Claude about Ricky and Solomon. Claude was very negative about Ricky's boastful claims, but was very impressed with his business plan. With Solomon, we saw the complete opposite - practically non-existent business plan, but Claude very much liked the fact that Solomon hadn't bigged himself up too much, and said it was one of the most professional-looking CVs he has seen on the show.
