It seems a long time since there has been that sort of friction between characters.

I agree that the SL with Maria has potential, but fear that it will just be a short-lived incident to fuel Sherlock Sophie's suspicions. My real concern, though, is that by having Jenny go postal, they are condemning her to being a short-term character. I think she's a great addition and a decent actress and would like to see her back for the longer term.

The other returnees, Sarah and Bethany, they can stick on the first flight back to Milan, or Timbuktu, or anywhere that isn't Wetherfield.

I agree with others in hoping that Jenny doesn't go too mad or she won't be there for long. I'm loving the interaction between her and Maria. That slap!!!! It is a surprising pairing of characters but they have great chemistry. Maria is really very good on the rare occasions that they give her something to do

Another 'yes' vote for last night's episodes!! Maria showing a bit of character for the first time in a while & Jenny is just a great character, but then she always was imo!! Her temper & the steely stare were vintage Alan, her father!!
I too hope the feud with Maria develops, possibly even into an interesting storyline to tie in with Samia's temporary exit for maternity leave, rather than just leading into a s/l for Sophie & Maria disappears for the next six weeks again!! Really nice to read some positive comments about Maria for a change!! A once great character who has lost her way over the last two years, somewhat!!

I didn't know Samia was pregnant. I hope they don't give her a silly maternity exit like Kylie et al. Maria and Jenny were really believable in their scenes and I hope they develop on this.

Jenny is the best thing about Corrie. Finally a character who has inserted some life into the show!

Last night was quiet decent

Tony Prescott's direction has been fantastic this week. Loads of fresh angles and visual touches which have complimented the scripts. Notably better than usual in terms of flow.
