Yeah why not let's bring back Amy Goskirk, Brenda Fearns, Chris Pitcher, Debs Brownlow, Ed Jacson, Flick Khan, Greg Kelly, Harry Clayton, Idris Hopkins & his family, Joanne & Jessie Jackson, Kimberley Taylor, Lillian Spencer, Molly Hardcastle, Norma Ford, Orchid Pattaya, Phil Simmonds, Quinny's Mum & Dad, Ryan Sykes, Sandra Stubbs, Tanya Pooley, Uncle Umed, Vinnie Sorrell, Wayne Farrell, Xin Proctor, Yvonne Casey, Zoe Tattersall... or a thousand other random characters from the past, who were probably somebody's fsvourite at the time...
Or alternatively why not let's use the wealth of talent & variety in the cast we've got now, many of whom are languishing as glorified extras, with nothing of any consequence to get their teeth into!! Let's hire writers who care enough about these characters to research their history & their personality & to come up with scripts & storylines that will make them the Corrie legends of tomorrow!!
Living in the past is all very well but let's not forget for every Jenny Bradley, whose return is a resounding success, there's a Bet Lynch, Dennis Tanner, Liz McDonald & now Sarah Platt whose return just isn't!!
The one character whose return would really enrich the current cast is definitely Toyah for me, a great character played by a superb actress!!
